Bit of a problem, I tried using OniSplit, but I dunno which folder to put it into, and I can't get AE to work, it keeps saying "cannot find ..\oni" although I have the entire GameDataFolder inside of the edition folder

Did you install the .net framework: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta … laylang=en
Also, you should put the folder wedition inside the Oni Folder and take a look at the read me.

apparently I already had .net installed. When I reinstalled it, it just "repaired" it

The path seems not to be correct.
A) Correct your command line with an additional ..\ like this:
C:\Program Files\Oni\AE edition\edition>start ..\..\Oni -noswitch -debugfiles
In case you used a bat file. Open it with an text editor
:: run_wind.bat
:: runs Oni in a "window"
:: (with some extra output)start ..\..\Oni -noswitch -debugfiles
B) Or, if your "AE edition" is empty then move everything from "edition" to "AE edition" and rename "AE edition" to "edition". Then you can delete the old "edition" folder.

which line do I had C:\Program Files\Oni\AE edition\edition>start ..\..\Oni -noswitch -debugfiles in?
when I got the bat_win to run, it instead runs the regular Oni instead, I can't access the cheats or developer mode or anything.

which folders do I put the buka, demo and standard folders in?
Offline
Just place the dll file into "Oni" folder. Use demo version if you have installed the demo, or standard version if you have installed a full version (or buka if you have installed Oni in Russian language).

Ok, first off, I apologize for the noob-ish questions about all this and I appreiciate the help taht I'm getting.
and secondly, I trried using the Character Importing guide, but instead it tells me of how to import into other programs. Just trying to import Motoko into the AE game as well as a list of moves for her. you know like: Which fiel goes into which folder:
C:\Program Files\Oni\edition\GameDataFolder\level1_Final

If you want to have Motoko in the game, the easiest way is to get the plugin:
http://oni.bungie.org/community/forum/v … php?id=508 (Go to the end of the first post for the link)
The character importing guide is if you want to import Oni Character's model into a 3D program like XSI mod tool 6

thanks for the link but it still dosen't tell me which folder(s) they're supposed to go into like:
C:\Program Files\Oni\edition\GameDataFolder\level1_Final

The plugins do not go in any level, you put them in the GameDataFolder alongside the other level files such as level0_Final.dat.
That's the advantage of plugins, there is no need to recompile any levels.

and that will let me select Motoko from the Shapeshifter code?
also, after putting in the developer mode code, how do I access it?

The wiki is your friend: http://wiki.oni2.net/Developer_Mode
With a little work in XSI mod tool 6 you can create a new character to play in Oni.
BTW, did you try out the Masterchief plugins? They're called BGI troops.

not yet, but I will
I was actually planning on turning Muro into Dio Brando from JJBA. all I would really need to do was replace his hair with a Fury's, and make his outfit yellow.

Actually, its might not be that easy. The Oni character models are made up of 19 body parts and the head and hair is a single part. Its not like Poser where you can easily swap a character's hair.
So to get the effect you want, you will have to modify the head itself. If you're experienced with 3D modeling, it should be no problem for you.

Not really in modeling, mainly in animation
but also, is there anyway to make Motoko available in every level? She only appears to be avaiable on the warehouse and Musashi missions.
Apparently in order to find her, I have to exit the game then load another save point.

Are you using the plugin called level0_MotokoPC.dat? If so, you should be able to shapeshift to her in any level.
Offline
dont use shapeshifter and dev mode at the same time.
