The answer to that question is simple and complicated at the same time:
But I'll will clarify some parts:
1)No coherent vision of this remake only glimpses of it.
2)To many failures in "distant" past
3)Members of this forum in most cases don't have time as much as they want (including me).
So nobody will invest time until something more solid is shown. I'm afraid that few screens of boxes few concept art and not the best made character will not be enough to catch any interest here.
If You want to form a team You must show others that You are capable off to bring this show on the road . If not, nobody will fallow You ..It's that simple and yet complicated at the same time.
To be more precise everybody expect from You a technical demo (even early alpha version will do) that will show ad lest minimum functionality compared to original oni.
This include:
-Hand to Hand fighting(h2h in short).: combos , normal attacks in 360 degree and throws. This could only be one per move but it will be enough.
-Gun fighting: creation of system where character can run, aim and shoot at the same time I every direction with ad lest two different weapons(default choice: pistol and rifle)
-Basic Ai interactions with the player Like .. ability to preform moves in h2h combat (dodge block attack), gun fight ... a bit of awareness of situation (like rise alarm, patrolling patches, attacking the enemy. etc)
The graphics at this point is not an issue at all.
If You'll provide something like that then, You can expect help, if not well ... You ad least tried.

Instead of stressing out developing a full game by yourself, start with a tech demo. That will get the interest of the community.

would it be acceptable to make a demo of a Fury vs. a striker.
also, where could i get the texture to these characters in .tga or photoshop format.
reason, i'm bored with konoko for the moment. also, had knonoko in his demo. maybe i do something different.
don't know if everyone will identify with Fury though. think this be acceptable a first demo or wat. input
be help ful if i can with the texture a front/back screen shot of a green striker and fury so i can model it accurately. that's if anyone feels like doing this. will save me the work of having to obtain or extrapolate

The textures are the original ones from Oni, so they are low quality. I don't think anyone has made higher quality textures for these characters.
Fury vs Striker is fine for me.

edt, think u can get me a screen shot of front/back view of Fury definitely, then a striker
not a the striker, that green enemy at warehouse level. wat they called.
the green dude. i need a front view and back view of him and the fury
also, would people here settle for a Fury vs. Striker demo before i start work on it. i don't want to make something have somebody be like "do one with konoko". it's way too much work to say that.
a tech demo of konoko is more comfort food, but i'm bored with konoko. would a demo with Fury work

the same base mesh can be re-used. but for fury, everything has to be re-proportioned. konoko's is taller skinner and has longer has where a fury has a shorter stocky built.

trick is to recreate the look and feel exactly before u can experiment with different looks.
edt, u have the green texture to the fury by any chance or all u have is just the red.

Speaking of recycling, you could take the meshes EdT gave you, combine the body parts, add subdivisions and make it exactly the way you want it.

that model is not mirrored, and i have to fix all the triangles in it so it can easily be manipulated.
easier to redo at that point.

for this basic demo, i am only have something simple like her doing a throw. she is not gona have her full move set.
the striker is going have a simple AI, no path finding. simple spot and follow using some type of ray cast technique in blender.
he is going to have two or three moves for simplicity.

may be something even simpler
have her run forward and backwards with key press. no mouse move yet. or have mouse move first. havent decided yet.
here is how i'm going to show it.
u would need to download blender if u want to actually run it.
i would post a link to the .blend file
all you have to do is open it up. and press Ctr-P to run it. that simple.

thanks, edt, u have the texture to these by any chance. especially muro's.
are these HD mods? i was going for the original look first. the proprotions and polycount looks different for some reason.
u can easily spoil the feel of the game if look and animation don't match.
also the original texture maybe, not the HD version.
don't worry about it if u don't have a link to it. i'll hand paint them if i have to.
