Hiding the old files is a good idea. Yes I was talking about left the collection as archive.

btw guys do you want to convert these to packages ?
http://mods.oni2.net/node/47
http://mods.oni2.net/node/40
I thought these were never released and incomplete I'm surprised to see them on the depot (never noticed them before) or isn't this knockdownrevamp ?
I don't think either of those are the AE's Knockdown Revamp. (By the way, I'm working on turning the Revamp into a couple packages.) I see that Dangerous Throws is totally undocumented, but I would guess that it adds knockdown to throw targets' TRAMs. The AE's Revamp only adds it to knockdowns and blownups. I thought that the h2w (hand-to-wall) system caused a Striker doing a head-first charge to stun himself if he ran into a wall. But glancing at the mod's files, I'm not so sure.
This is the kind of problem I've been running into with the AE's bundled/core mods. Some of them are old and undocumented. All one can do is compare them to the vanilla files as XML, line by line (using a diff-gazing app, of course).

is it too late for one more suggestion ?
can you add a "Download" to the right click menu (open mod depot page, delete locally, open mod folder)
this could be useful in some cases:
user deleted or modified some files from the package's folder, but the package is not updated on the depot (so it won't ask him to update\redownlaod it on its own), so he can just click download again so it gets re-dowloaded and fixes whatever he messed up.
user\modder wants to download package but doesn't want to install it and sit through the installation
and if possible at the bottom above size of files to be downloaded add a : ''mods currently selected : '' which displays the number of how many packages are checked.
Of course only if you think it's worth the trouble

I have a problem with the HD Screens pack .. twice now I have downloaded it with the installer .. it takes a long while because it's huge .. however after the download is complete it doesn't make it to the packages folder ! and in the installer the state changes to I but not D. (installed but not downloaded don't know how that is possible) what could cause this ? other downloaeded packs work.

Uh, looks bad ... could you please run the updater manually once? Think you got a pre-release AEI which had a bug with the update mechanism so it doesn't notice there's a newer one. The newer one could also fix the other problem
ONI2.net, link to just any important resource-pages about ONI.

i decided to download the setup from the depot and reinstall seems that everything is solved now thanks.

Alloc ... on bugs.oni2 you said that the issue is fixed with 2.02 version .. if you already released it .. mine is not notifying me about an AEI update it's still 2.01 .. I've had that problem since 0.99y, it had a problem going to 2.00 and then that had a problem going to 2.01 eventhough I have reinstalled and used latest updater between them (to get the 2.01 last time i had to reinstall and manually run the updater, as my posts above say) ...
updater_output log is empty and aei_output is normal this time. the autoupdate was working fine before the 0.99y version.
but i am getting the update notifications for packages.
btw I'm running the installer form the desktop shortcut that has this target: "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false -jar bin\AEInstaller2.jar ..
shouldn't it link to the updater jar ?

Samer: Just keep an eye on the bug tracker timeline page. When you see an entry for 2.02, then it will be ready

The 2.14 adds a awesome tip in the beginning for beginners and also adds how to un-install. which is Brilliant. Thanks for that.
What does it matter? Even if the odds are against me, I'll do it, it doesn't matter.

this maybe more of a depot related thing .. but I've noticed something ... before if the description on the depot had space between the lines it would also show like that in the AEinstaller description. example : http://mods.oni2.net/node/236 .. notice the last lines \ paragraph ..
in the AEinstaller now it shows as one block of text which is unpleasant to the eye .. could this be fixed ?
