I did a forum search before for this, and actually found a thread with the exact same problem (I think) but no solution was posted there. So.. any help would be greatly appreciated
Running Windows 7 x64, but installed to C:\Program Files\Oni anyway.

-I noticed that the hackers of oni community made a lot of modifications before they locked me up, do you have any idea what they want with an old game? -Modifications? What kind of modifications?
-Hard to tell, without getting a look at things but it looks like they're repurposing it. -Why?
-Beats me, all the game has is brutal melee combat and furious gunplay. -I dont like the sound of that.....

Go into the Edition GameDataFolder. Tell us the file sizes of the .dat files. I am going to bet the packages you are installing are empty, therefore it is putting in no data and causing a crash.

Reinstalled. Downloaded daodan patch and copied it over install directory, replaced .exe with a Windows 7 patch (this I did before in order to get normal Oni to run.) Same result..
