Are the files of the type .oni? Right now is a bit of an awkward time to talk about this issue, because we just introduced a new release of the Anniversary Edition, and now those weapons should be in the "mod package" format. If you wait a bit longer, we should be converting other mods to the package format. Otherwise the instructions for you to install them will be rather complicated. In the meantime, if you haven't downloaded the Edition, it does contain a few new weapons that you can play with to bide your time
