Okay just remember to when you first got oni. Pretend you dont have Aniversary Edition. Just try to remember some complaints you had or some things that ticked you off in the game. Me the lighting.

Having to press F1 all the time because the "new information" prompt kept coming up when I walked another 50 feet. That one still annoys me.
I didn't consciously notice how bad the lighting was for a while
I voted "didn't like it at first" because I was interested in Oni when it was coming out, but when I got the game, I don't remember making much progress and somehow I forgot about it for a few years before coming back to it in 2007, so I guess that means I didn't really take to it at the time.

I still try pressing W twice in order to get the character to move quicker in any game I play ^^
I couldn't do the punch-punch-kick-combo at first, that really annoyed me. I pressed the correct keys and still got the triple-hit-haymaker.

Oh yeah, combos always gave me a hard time.

Crescent move kick. I often go through a level almost untouched cuz i keep teying to do it. Also i hate Elites. all they do is their football tackle. Which means the syndicate is actually training to play football.

The first time I play Oni I got dizzy. I still play Oni because I don't feel that anymore. But when I played Half-life and other shooter game I got dizzy again and I still feel that after I had played for a while. That's why I don't play any shooter game but Oni!! (magical, isn't it? )
Something makes me remember to Oni:
-It was not until I had played level 10 twenty times to know how to dash (!!)
-I had played level 2 more than 30 times to find the hidden console in the beginning of SP2 and the console to deactivate the laser trigger before the last SP.
-The 'electrical bridges' in level 8 almost killed me because I don't know how to dash at that time.
-It was not until level 14 that I knew how to Devil spinning kick and Rising Fury.
-And, I can perform the Crescent Moon Kick easily at the first time I know how to play it
Yea that's why Oni's always been in my favorite.

I remember having great difficulty on that "electrical bridge" thing too. The second time I played it (now) I finished it without difficulty. What I had a problem with this time is Devil Spin Kick and Rising Fury. I think I got it know though.
You can call me 3llen. It's shorter and simpler.

I was only about 6 years old when I started playing it, back in 2001.
My brother helped me with the 5- and 13 level, because I found those levels the hardest. (Both at last savepoint.)
I used like 3 years to complete the last level (I started playing Serious Sam, so I forgot about Oni until something like 2004), so I guess I had a easy start.

Well my sister's friend came over for a sleep over (whom i hate) So she brought oni, thought it was stupid another anime game. so she was stuck on level 1 save point one. I tried it and didnt like it. Then i found a cheat to turn nto muro. Then i was hooked! so much bone snapping, leg breaking, neck snapping and using, barabas, mukade, and tankers. So awesome.

Yea nice story!
But I thought that we can only turn the cheats on after we finished the game?

Hey! That is true. Unless oxe got into it recently. The Daodan unlocks the cheats for you.

Is that true for the PS2 version also?

I finshed the game with the codes at the first time (yeah, I was a noob^^). In the mac version, we can enable them with an ex-editor.

I keep a backup version of the modified persist.dat which enables cheats whenever you want. You don't have to finish the game first.

My dad showed me the demo and I loved it. Always have and always will.
If we don't change the direction we're going, we'll likely end up where we're headed.
