I was looking at a video of the Flatline Oni multiplayer project and it looked awesome so far. But i am curious, why no more work has been done on the project? It would be amazing if we could even host multiplayer competitions using custom characters or vanilla characters.

Because I'm retired. And if I started working on it again I would have to rewrite from scratch.

How come? Was it written inefficiently, would it be just easier to start new or is it some other reason?

Three reasons -
1. I'm a much better coder now
2. I would need to refamiliarize myself with how Oni works inside
3. The Daodan DLL works in a different way, now. It would be better to start from the current version.
