First, My english is bad. Sorry about that.
Cannot updating mod depot dache .I don't see anything in AE installer 2.26. Need help . Thanks
Offline
I have the same problems: There are no mods shown in the AE installer - it's just blank! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the only difference is that now I can't get past the message "you have to hit the install button at least once": No matter how many times I hit it, the message turns up every time I try to run the game.
What happens???
If it ain't broken, don't fix it!

Interesting. It isn't working for me either.
I've installed a Java update very recently maybe it's that the problem? Java update 111.

It seems to be broken for everyone. I am reaching out to Alloc to figure out what happened. Somehow it's failing when it tries to talk to the Mod Depot and get the cache of available mods, but the Depot is running as usual and I can manually retrieve the cache in my browser, so I don't know what's going wrong. Just hang on while I make contact with Alloc, since probably only he can solve this.

Okay, I figured it out, it was in fact my fault. I updated some of the taxonomy and pages on the site the other day, and changed a piece of information that the AEI expects to have a certain value. So I've changed it back and now the AEI is working for me. How about you guys?

....except now the "Hidden Treasure Challenge" doesn't work, and several characters won't show: Rayman, Combustion Man, Naomi, BGI Sarai.

They don't show up in the Hidden Treasure level, you mean? I do see those characters in the AEI....

The "Hidden Treasure Challenge" is the mod where RAYMAN'S FIST is hidden somewhere in each level.
But now, when the mod is installed, there are no fists to be found.
And when the above mentioned characters are installed, they are no longer available as playable characters. Using F8 (with "shapeshifter" or in "developer mode") they are just not there. Unlike e.g. "Golden TCTF" which IS there.
(I'm on a PC running Windows 7 home premium 64 bit).

Hmm, this doesn't sound like a problem that would have been caused by any recent changes. If a character is installed, it should automatically be accessible in any level. I was able to install those characters and shapeshift to them. Do you have a lot of other mods installed? Maybe try paring down the installed mods to just those characters, and then try to switch to them in an ordinary level.

No, I haven't. I'm not using any extra levels. I'm only using the same 9 mods that all worked very well before:
BGI Sarai, Character Additives, Christmas Outfits, Combustion Man, Hidden Treasure Challenge, Kojiro 2.2, Naomi, New Weapons Collection, RAYMAN
And now none of them work! Not even if I install only one of these mods.

Sorry, but I installed the same loadout of those 9 mods, and I can call up all the new characters and the Christmas variants. I only had a minute to test, though, so I didn't look for the Rayman fists. I would suggest deleting the AE/ folder and starting a new AE installation from scratch.

I did. It was after I did that, that these things stopped working.
But okay - I'll try again.

And so I did - and now it works. Hurray!
I was beginning to think it might be time to quit playing that old game....
(But I wonder what the .... went wrong before!)

We have had some mystery AE issues like this from time to time. Unfortunately we would need to do a deep investigation of the data the AEI generates in order to find the issue, and I don't think Alloc or I have the time for that, since it's rare and a re-installation fixes the problem. If I ever experienced it myself, I would have a chance of finding the problem, but it hasn't happened to me yet. Anyway, glad it's working again!
