So, I've told my friend to check out Oni (he doesn't have internet nor speaks english), but he ran into some problems. When he runs Oni, Bungie logo and intro plays without problem, but after playing it or skipping, the game closes itself to desktop. No error, no blam, no statement, nothing, it just crashes to the desktop. He plays on XP. Here's the startup:

Why isn't he running the Daodan?
Iritscen: it's amazing this program even works
Gumby: i know
Iritscen: and that statement applies to my code, not just yours
I never had anything to do with daodan.dll, I only read a little bit about it on wikia. So, you mean that getting daodan.dll there should do the trick?
I think all daodan and what not dll on that wiki page are outdated. AFAIK, the patches are all now in the bink dll (plus maybe exe) that comes with the Edition. So you can send that two files to your friend or give him a link to the entire AE on Mod Depot.
Muffin button !
Well I tried the two files, and the game does work, however, sounds don't. I also had AE on pendrive, everything works now, but you know, no intro and outro. Is that even fixable?
Hmm I think it is although I can't see why'd you want an intro, kinda makes you wait more to play the game? ^^'
Rather outro. And he's not waiting, I've told him to play AE.
