Re: Flatline Alpha

And in the future you will just be able to hangout ingame and use the builtin chat to arrange a game.

FYI: no updates for a few days while I work on an application for a local programming job. wink

I'm going to try it as soon as someone creates a mac version.  Or I manage to get my hands on a windows copy of Oni.

Re: Flatline Alpha

Has anyone gotten it to work under WINE? I've tried it with realblink.dll and without and it always segfaults.

Also AE doesn't seem to globalize properly under wine. Works perfectly if you globalize and install your mods on a windows machine then move it over.

If it's just me having these problems I won't bother but I'm probably going to try and maintain oni AE's wine entry.

Re: Flatline Alpha

Upload your Globalize\Install.logs. Of course, I could always compile it for linux. tongue  But setting up the libraries used by the installer is a pain.

I tried to get it working under the CXEx engine (a skin of crossover games, which in turn is a version of wine, but I didn't get anywhere)

Re: Flatline Alpha

I've been busy with school, but I'm on break now and would like to play. Is there a time when people tend to be on or a place to set up games (other than this thread)? Should I just keep opening the game and logging in to check if there are games? One advantage of Hamashi was that you could easily see if anyone was connected and chat with them.

Also, I have some comments/suggestions:
- Some of the new code doesn't work unless you've hosted or joined a game. If it did, you could set your name in IGMD/global.
Putting the login command there does work though, which is handy.

- Is there a script command to enable dev mode? Or could it be enabled by default?

- When you close the console as a female character with a gun out, the animation is weird.

Re: Flatline Alpha

Next version of Flatline will have autoupdate capabilities. Just have to add a message box here and there, and double check with alloc that it's ok that I borrow his server. smile

Ahhhahh, is this real??
WOW, I just can't believe. I need to talk my brother into trying this out.
He'll be home in 5 days. That's too long, I should have read this around next friday sad
I'll report my experiences (we're on direct connect lan, I'm not afraid of lags)
------------------------------------
Is it possible to play the missions together?
Or is this restricted to beating each other in various areas?

Re: Flatline Alpha

Hey dudes! First of all, awesome work gumby for creating this multiplayer, I've been waiting ( more like hoping lol) for plenty of years as I expect many of you have as well.
So, anyone would like to play with me sometime?

I believe it would be possible by adjusting the BSL scripts a little. I've only heard of people playing deathmatch though.
