Re: Anniversary Edition trailer

I was eager to post the latest cut of the video tonight, with the kanji streamers a la the original trailer and some of your footage incorporated, but geyser and I are in negotiations on where to go with the trailer, so nothing new for now.  I think it's safe to still record the videos I asked for in post #17, though, because one way or another we will probably have a use for them.  Thanks!

Re: Anniversary Edition trailer

OK, due to the fact I don't have any legal access to any better video compression than WMV (which is not the best quality) and I don't want to be thief (I guess making codecs is heck hard job) I am forced to STOP CONTRIBUTING videos.

BUT

I can set up scenes, give you all files/scripts and than somebody else (Iritscen himself ?) can capture it. Can it be that way?

Re: Anniversary Edition trailer

Loser: What the difference between the AIDodge and NoDodge movies you made (Which Iritscen and myself can't see) with your previous movies such as this: http://loser.oni2.net/Videos/Tips_for_EDITION_AI2.wmv (Which I can see fine)

Can you just make your movies with the previous format?

Re: Anniversary Edition trailer

Why don't you try to convert the video to FLV format? It has the better compression than the WMV format as I know.

If you want to try, please tell me. I can give you the software to convert it.

Re: Anniversary Edition trailer

I would think so, Gumby.  I'm not suggesting that Loser download a professional movie editor (I paid for mine), just that he use a good codec.  But, Loser, I wouldn't mind recording the footage myself.  That way you don't have to worry about all my recording requirements :-)  Just post the scripts and such as attachments here.

Re: Anniversary Edition trailer

OK, HERE is scene showing reaction to dead body and call for backup. First backup original files, then replace with mine. Each my file has its original name+name of the level file where it belongs, import via OUP. Then backup and replace script tctf2 in tctfii folder. Play first savepoint, you should see you with moonshadow, a few TCTF guys around you and one Copfem walking small patrol path. Go to the door she is passing on one end of her path. Behind is TCTF_lite_1 guy. Kill him. Stay somewhere near the body. Copfem should run in, look around for a sec, then she talk into her watch-radio. Short time after, those 4 guys will rush in, searching for you. I hope it will satisfy you. If not, write.

Okay, if I need to run OniUnPacker it will take me a little while (going over to the Windows side), but I will let you know how it goes.

Re: Anniversary Edition trailer

Oh, and the list that keeps track of what footage I need is on the wiki now so I can collaborate with geyser.  It's at http://wiki.oni2.net/AE:Trailer

At this very moment the list is not up-to-date, but it will be soon.

Re: Anniversary Edition trailer

We need HELP! We need more people that can contribute video for the trailer. Please look at this page: http://wiki.oni2.net/AE:Trailer and make a video clip based on the ideas outlined.  Also, please make the video 640x480 in size.

Re: Anniversary Edition trailer

The size 640x480 is too big because my computer didn't fast enough to record videos in that size. Could we make it smaller? I wonder if there is any software to convert the size?

We only need the video recorded at 15 fps, if that helps, love_Oni.

Re: Anniversary Edition trailer

By the way, new trailer draft at http://iritscen.oni2.net/editiontrailer … raftv5.mov . It's still rough, but it's taking shape.  Thanks to everyone who helped so far.

Pretty soon I will outline what footage I still could use, on the wiki page: http://wiki.oni2.net/AE:Trailer .  There's only a couple things I wanted to put in, that I couldn't get recorded in time (and hopefully I can make room for them!), but some others need to be recorded at better quality, so I will review my materials and post something on the wiki today sometime. (Edit: It's up. Look for the 8-point list under "Iritscen's draft".)  Thanks!

P.S.: What should I do with the old versions on YouTube? I don't know if I like leaving them out there, because they're half-finished and it's only bound to confuse some people who are looking for Oni stuff.  They can't fit on the oni2.net account (Alloc might say it's all right to go over 100MB, but I'd rather not use the space he provides for such silly stuff, I mean, the videos are pretty much obsolete now).  Any objections to taking them down?

Re: Anniversary Edition trailer

Thank you, gmsly!  I will only have time for a couple seconds of your footage at the most, but maybe I can use it in the next draft (aiming to release it on Monday).

Since there are no objections, I will take down the old drafts from YouTube.

Ok, I'm going to be honest right now. That thing is ugly. I'm sorry paradox, it just is. It might look better with an Asura model though (something reddish, so the red body particles don't look so out of place). The blue particles also look a tad bit...boring. Try making them get smaller or something...

Thanks for being honset, Gumby. That thing is my work ^_^

Well, it is OK to say that, Gumby. It was just toying around as I had to take a break from TRAMs. Also, I wanted to show Paradox that I am interested in his project. It sucks? Yes, I agree. But as a test it was OK. OK enough to release it for others in my opinion.

P.S.: And those red particles are meant to be "shield" (similarity with Asura picture) not glow, so I made them emitted a bit outside of the body.
