problems with level plugins

Okay, here is a thread to post all kinds of plugin problems.

First case:

..anyone can help me to try the new Level Plugin?

I think one of the problem is the TXMP file's name,in this new Level Plugin, the TXMP file's name is the same as original,so the new TXMP dosen't work. But why the overpower color not changed?

Seems to be so. Try renaming your TXMPs and their links in the TRMA file. Spare offset fixing by using the way over XML.
No idea about the white aura so far. It's working fine for me.

Re: problems with level plugins

FYI: Here is a page about level plugins on the wiki: http://wiki.oni2.net/AE:Plugins.

paradox-01: One unusual problem I had with your Motoko yellow chenille, is that the plugin works great, but when I use the individual .oni files in level1 (Of course without the plugin installed) Oni crashes whenever level1 is loaded. Haven't had time to debug.

Re: problems with level plugins

I assume that particle files (BINA3RAP) works only in level 0 but ONCC, TRAC, etc can be placed into a level of your choice.

Edit: Ok, archive is updated now.

Something else:

Typically your plugin will be all the smaller as it uses global content, but whoever you give that plugin to should be aware of the globalized resources involved. Otherwise you'll get pointless crash reports all the time just because you assumed people would only use your plugin in tandem with the Edition, etc.

You know what? I made a new plugin for level 14. Same files; Motoko is able to load, but Oni crashes as soon as I type "chenille"...
Will I need to build an additional level0 helper plugin (for BINA3RAPs)? .. Nevermind. Then it's better to put everything into one single level0 plugin to begin with.

You are correct, as soon as I moved the BINA3RAPmotoko files into level0, the crash was eliminated. Thanks.

Re: problems with level plugins

coool: I also get the white aura with ONCCkl.
As paradox-01 mentioned you will need to rename the TXMP if you want the revised one to appear globally.
Otherwise, you get something like this:
