Auto-kicking?

I'm not sure if this is AE or not...

The easist way to do this is to get into a large group of enemies and "liveforever" and "canttouchthis" yourself. Watch Konoko get beat up on. Randomly, she will execute a kick move. Why?!

Re: Auto-kicking?

Whenever I tried to make Konoko walk around like that, she got thrown by a non-existent striker and Oni crashed. I only installed AE last week, ashamed as I am to admit it, so I'm sure it always happened. No clue why, though.

Re: Auto-kicking?

Hmm, will have to try this.  Maybe she resents being left alone to get beaten up.

Re: Auto-kicking?

Fluffy: You will need to install Loser's updates to the TRAM, which fixed the crashing due to the throws:

Re: Auto-kicking?

This is why we'll hopefully be much more organized in the area of mods by/around the time the Edition comes out.  There's no single, organized place that people can look to see what the latest versions of each mod are.  I have some ideas in this regard, that I'll probably try to set up in the wiki in the coming months.

Re: Auto-kicking?

Well, It happened to me for times ago, when I was just trying to make it some funny by making Konoko get surrounded. Suddenly, she made some kicks to her enemies even I didn't press any keys. After that, I forgot it. I think it is because the producer just want to make Konoko defend herself if there is too much damage which caused on her.

I don't know, that doesn't sound like it's supposed to happen....

I will, but that's not what I was describing. The crash I mentioned happens without any modding and seems similar to what Gumby is talking about. Turn the cheats on, let Konoko get beaten up. The difference is that Konoko is walking (using caps lock) in this case, rather than standing still.

Don't suppose either you or Gumby can make a video of this?

Re: Auto-kicking?

I'll post a video. It doesn't show much. Just random kicking. Oh well. Let me get on Youtube.

Re: Auto-kicking?

Wow, that's weird.  Barneyhater, just for future reference, a YouTube upload is the best way to share with the community, but it looks like Gumby beat you to it.  Thanks anyway, though.  After watching it, I still have no idea what's causing it.  I can only surmise in a vague way that it's a TRAM-lookup bug (either an original Oni bug or AE-related, it sounds like we don't know yet).  As Loser is the expert in TRAMs, perhaps he has an idea.

Re: Auto-kicking?

I have had it happen while jumping too. Kind of annoying....\

EDIT:  If this happens whiledashing forward, you slide.  To the slide gives you the jump kick.

EDIT2: Another note: You turn to kick whoever it is. Autoaiming ftw.

Re: Auto-kicking?

Wait... you're talking about Konoko kicking while jumping?  But this is under the same circumstances, where you are getting beat up on and you have canttouchthis on?  Does it still happen with liveforever off?

And the auto-sliding is also under those same circumstances?

Re: Auto-kicking?

Any character that is unstoppable getting hit enough will spontaneously click. This happens with or without AE.
there's a lot of glitching when fighting unstoppable enemies (ever try using forward + kick against an unstoppable enemy? funny results.)

So, what will happen if we use kick_fw to an unstoppable enemy smile? (because I don't know who can be an 'unstoppable enemy', I haven't an able to trying this)

Re: Auto-kicking?

The behave like they're hit by the VDG (like arms up, stunned, don't do anything). Just keep kicking them until the auto-kick you back, or die. lol.
Just goes to show the game's not meant to be played with Unstoppable on. Its for cutscene purposes, I believe.
