New Level ***SMP-Fight Club*** - Version 1.1 Update

This has been in the making for quite some time I finally managed to wrap it up... I wouldn't have been able to make this mod without EdT's and S10k's help.

Chapter25: Fight Club is a new level where you fight your way through 25 rounds of increasing difficulty to be crowned the Fight Club Champion ! Inspired by DMC's Bloody Palace and Edt's Boss Battle Level. (25 .. it's a seven wink)

Features:

  • 6 unique arenas, some have several locations each.

  • The arenas include some areas modified from Oni's original levels and the others are completely new! including a Fortress, a Hangar, and a Cartoonish Playground.

  • 25 rounds of increasing difficulty facing some of the original characters and more so of the custom made ones.

  • 8 Save Points in total

  • You can easily switch to other characters by typing the first 3 letters of their name in the console, you can play as Konoko, Casey, Hayate, Hanako, Kojiro or Jessie.

Gameplay Tips:

  • Health is reset after each round, so hang in there as much as you can.

  • You get some hypos, a VDG and 1 or more energy cells at each save point.

  • Unlike health, items are only reset after each save point not each round, so use them wisely !

  • You'll be notified when the next save point is, so plan accordingly.

  • You can re-read the tips at Save Point 0

Credits
Edt imported and built the level geometry for me, I did some textural changes to it later.
The final arena is made by a modder named andreiKa and was originally imported by geyser.
S10K did the major scripting for me, I only modified\added some stuff later, couldn't have done it without him.

Download 82000SMP-FightClub from the AE-Installer.

I finished it, EdT what difficulty are you playing on? I suggest Brutal AI in Easy, as the enemies utilize their moves but aren't too hard! I had a tough time finishing it in that setting. Try it!!!

Update 1.1

I've been wanting to do this for a long time:
*The characters now use Custom Melee Profiles! which allow them to utilize all their unique character-specific moves, greatly improving their fighting style.
*Characters affected\improved: Casey, Hayate, Kojiro, Jester, Rayman.

some examples: (changes not limited to these examples)
*Casey can now utilize all his combos example his PKP, PKK and PPKK combos, this was not possible before when he was given Konoko's melee profile
*Rayman can now use ranged attacks for firing energy balls like he's supposed to, as seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl … Sfeb4xv7p8
*Hayate, Jester, Kojiro can utilize all their combos, and throws.


Note:
BINACJBOMelee Profile is localized in level25_Final .. so it won't affect or be affected by other melee profile mods.
the melee profile numbers used are as follows : 120-rayman  121-casey  122-hayate  123-jester  124-kojiro

Oh great, you made the level harder... tongue

A couple of suggestions: Add more flags to the other levels of the parking lot, then we don't have to fight in the same place 4 fights in a row.  Also, you can fight inside the building of the playground level, so why not add some flags there.

How about some fights against your BGI characters?

Maybe you can change some of the textures of the playground to a cartoonish look.

you're right about that, I was going to but then there was a bsl part i had to change that s10k made for me about restoring player position and i was worried i was gonna mess it up tongue so i left it as is since i felt all the levels look the same tongue maybe I'll have some rounds be on the other levels of the parking lot and some in the indoor part of the parking lot (the one with red plating ).


Also, you can fight inside the building of the playground level, so why not add some flags there.

I face some bug when I go inside, the characters sometimes stand there or glitch like they're trying to move but can't and the walls flicker when rayman or the jesters with the shield spawn. you can see the stairs flickering in the video of the last round. so i tried to avoid that part.

I tried a lot of stuff with the playground to try to make it less bland, but failed horribly sad something is worng with the uv maps i'm guessing .. no matter how high resolution the textures i tried to use were they were getting stretched and "twisted" ... the grass and the ground were the only ones that didn't look too bad .. if you look at the ground of the playground i gave it same texture as hangar, but see how it's much more stretched on the playground. in addition i tried to change the cyan wall texture but it wouldn't show, when i tried to change the grey what happened is : some of the grey walls got the texture from the outside and some from the inside :\ i'm guessing some polygons are flipped and the level itself was too small originally then when it was re-sized to oni's measurements the u.v maps got humongous. if you know how i can fix that i'll appreciate it. also a lot of the textures are shared .. example the grass also got on the roof tongue i tried to make the inside carpet like but it got on the wall too.


How about some fights against your BGI characters?

I wanted to add the bots and hammer and agents in the hangar, but the particle overload issue prevented me, when all my characters and the other bgi characters are installed together the game crashes for me and some others when a contrailed move is done, like i reported before, (fingers crossed the particle limit is increased in the next daodan ^_^) so i couldn't risk having a dependency on all the character packs and causing it to crash for those who install it.
that's why i wanted to reserve level 26 for a fight club part 2 big_smile Fight Club - BGI ! once i get the other bgi characters out as well ... so we'll have hydra and sarai and typhoon and jubei and akane and iron demon there too ^_^

I should have known you already thought of those suggestions smile

That playground model was such a pain to work on.  I couldn't get it into Sketchup, so I used another 3D program, which is a lot harder to use.  I guess we'll have to leave the fightclub model as is.

Your next level will be awesome!

Played it today in easy. Lucky could beat all the bosses without die once. In other difficult setting this will be different. Liked your changes.

SMP - Fight Club is one of the hardest Oni mods I've ever played.
It's a challenge to play all 25 levels on difficulty hard in one part.

I have managed it 2 times, but each time when I tried to convert the result in MP4 the video file was corrupt.
It seems that my Movavi game capture program isn't able to create video files larger than 4 GB in size.
Therefore I had to record the mod in two parts and cut them together in  a single video file.

Unfortunately my computer still has audio problems when recording gameplay videos.
I tried to cut out the sound interference as well as I could.
