Re: Vago GUI

Guys thanks for your interest. I haven't searched for anyone to port it yet because EdT have made also a program to Mac OS:
http://wiki.oni2.net/AE:Anniversary_Edition_Tools

This even includes some features that my own is missing like music/textures preview and some other options.

If you still want to port it, it's ok the source should be released in next version and there shouldn't be many changes that needs to be made, since I always wrote universal code, using Qt standard library. Just talk to me before (and we should announce it so there aren't multiple ported versions around).

Re: Vago GUI

I've a request about the Vago GUI.
Under "Models" tab, from oni to dae, please add (or reuse the existing) editbox so that we can choose the animation that will be exported with the model.

Re: Vago GUI

Script_10k, if you have some time could you pop onto the IRC, I have a few questions on how some of this code runs. I've never used QT frameworks before so I am wondering if I am missing something with the code.

Re: Vago GUI

UX is terrible. I have no idea what I am supposed to be selecting as my anniversary edition folder, nothing appears to show up in the UI in terms of mods or files.

Re: Vago GUI

As anniversary edition folder you must select the "Edition" folder which contain the edition files.

The UI it is working mainly as conversion tool. So you can select "From" you want convert "To" you want convert. For example convert .oni to .xml.

In the sources list you add the files which you want to convert.

If you can give more ideas how the UX/UI can be improved I will be grateful.

Re: Vago GUI

It worked well for me.  You should have been asked to find the Edition folder when the app first launched.

Re: Vago GUI

s10k: Worked fine for me.  The app did ask me for the location of the Edition folder.

Dirk: I would be interested to see how you would design the UX.  Perhaps I can use your ideas for AETools.

Re: Vago GUI

I was able to build the Mac version of Vago 0.8, you can get it here: http://edt.oni2.net/AE_Files/Vago_Mac.zip
Once it has been tested, then it can be uploaded to the Depot.

Re: Vago GUI

Btw, we have a bug tracker installed at bugs.oni2.net now, so if you want, Script, I can add Vago to the tracker and we can report and manage bugs there (I've found some already wink).  That way we aren't clogging up the forum with chatter about details of bug reports and what's been fixed so far, etc.
