Vicious Reilly has released his textures for Muro. The face is done in Anime style and the head is similar to the 1999 version of Muro. The textures are in high resolution 512x512.

yay finally, body looks awesome like all VR's work ... though i'd prefer Severed's face texture ... A suggestion is to give it a lower number than Severed's package or to include another version with Severed's .. ( i know i can change the texture myself, but for other non modding users)
Some more up close details.
Samer: If I gave the package a lower number, then anyone with severed's texture or your character retexture package will not see VR's face texture and that would take away from his work.

AE Installer refuses to run when I copy the files to packages. What's going on?
EDIT: Never mind, installed the textures through Konoko HD package. Looks awesome

As has been mentioned, Muro underwent a redesign some time between the making of the 1999 trailer and the game's release. If you look at the trailer:

...you'll see that 1999 Muro is still with us, and I think the new face is a much better match for him.
byproducts are fine, but where's the beef?
I am not sure who I would want to texture next. I was thinking of building a level from scratch for my next Oni project, or maybe modelling a new hi-res character (I actually have one done but not textured). I am always busy with other projects though, we will see how it goes .

or how about Motoko ?! I know u started on the jacket would be awesome if u continue it and help us improve the hair
EDIT: btw VR would u consider writing a tutorial on how u make those textures or just give us some tips .. Example how do u make that cloth, and leather feel on ur textures .. I tried using patterns using the texturizer filter in photoshop but they don't turn out as good as i hope to. Do u have certain pattern textures u use or brushes or something that can help me make my textures better quality ?

I will consider it. Its a lot of work to get the textures to look like that, there are a lot of paint over and layer effects involved. The tutorial would certainly be mostly about photoshop.

It might just be me but I felt that the textures in game are a bit too dark compared to VR's screenshot and compared to other characters in game which took away from the details not being apparent enough, (especially muro's face).. so i made a lighter version of the textures .. and uploaded it to the depot (same page)
