Is the new move set better than the old one ? Some combos i felt suit akane and the bgi boss better.

If you have had buffer overflow problems with shinibot's humane outfit .. (disappearing hit impacts and contrails with phase cloak or shield) the package has been updated now to fix that. on 29/9/2012

I am trying to get back into modding, thought I'd start with the easier things like texturing, hopefully that will motivate me and remind me of the other stuff ...

What do you think of this alternative dark outfit\color scheme for ShinatamaBot? (it's missing reflections, shadows and highlights)

I think it looks cool, though the color scheme seems less appropriate for Shinatama, unlike the first outfit which is based on her original colors.  But I suppose there's no reason why her tastes can't change as she gets older (this doesn't address the question of how an SLD gets older tongue).  Perhaps the new colors were inspired by a stealth-based outfit that Konoko wore?  (I always like to know the reason behind a design, so that's an example of an "origin story" for the new outfit.)

actually I was just browsing through the old mods I have done and ShinatamaBot's concept was that after her destruction in Griffin's valut she got rebuilt into a fighting Shinatama but kept her nice personality, I thought what if instead of that the Syndicate had captured her and made her "dark" she'd be the perfect weapon vs Konoko as she knows almost everything about her. So I was going for the evil twin\ dark version tongue but when I was done with the outfit and working on the face texture to make her look menacing, she was just too cute tongue and I didn't have the heart to make her look evil tongue

Aha, I see you were already thinking about the backstory.  Maybe she was supposed to be Konoko's nemesis, but she converted back to the light side and kept the outfit smile

Version 3.0 updated on March 26 2022

 Change log:
-Added Cyborg, Cyborg Blackops, and Cyborg Gold variants.
-Added Bot 2 variant based on the character Amaya from Oni 2.
-Her forward punch move now Shoots VDG Stun particles.
-The face textures now use SeverED's version 3 as basis.
-Texture updates on the bot outfit.
-Included a custom flying portrait originally made by ViciousReilly for Shinatama.

Technical changes:
-Her previously called bot 2 outfit was renamed to Bionic SH_bionic. SH_bot2 is now used for the new robotic model.
-Polygon reduction and addition of lower lods for her Bionic outfit.
-Her ONCV and package were named to Evolved since "Bot" is now used for 2 variants out of 6.
-The ONCV is now included and patched to the ONVL.
-Glass particle references removed from TRAMS and ONCC.
