Skyrim

Being the huge elder scrolls nerd i am, you can imagine i got overly excited when i heard Skyrim announced at E3. Oblivion was one of my favorite games of all time, and i doubted that they could top it. But from what I've seen so far the game looks gorgeous and they've added a boatload of cool new shit, and even from the little I've seen so far it's an instant buy. So i'm curious, what are your views so far on the game?

Re: Skyrim

Way too many jokes about it on soup. That's my view on the game. I'm beginning to think it's a clever marketing campaign.

Re: Skyrim

Everyone tells me it's a great game so I guess I'm just gonna have to buy it......sometime.

-I noticed that the hackers of oni community made a lot of modifications before they locked me up, do you have any idea what they want with an old game? -Modifications? What kind of modifications?
-Hard to tell, without getting a look at things but it looks like they're repurposing it. -Why?
-Beats me, all the game has is brutal melee combat and furious gunplay. -I dont like the sound of that.....

That meme is becoming cyber cancer. .___. It's really beginning to bug the hell out of me, especially because it makes no sense.

Re: Skyrim

I got it for Christmas. And just like Morrowind and Oblivion, I love it.

200 hours here. Absolutely forgot my studies and ignored my personal life for almost a month. Good times.

Re: Skyrim

Honestly, the console port is pretty terrible (at least on the PS3). The load times are frustrating and lag spikes are common.
I would recommend buying a more powerful computer, but if you do not have the budget to do so, a console would be ok.

Re: Skyrim

@ Striker I have the Xbox version and I don't experience any lag or long load times.

Re: Skyrim

The closest I've gotten to playing Skyrim is watching playthroughs on YouTube.

I watched my friend play Skyrim on the PS3 for a few hours, and I did not see anything noticeably bad. In fact, I thought it looked pretty good. If you care about graphics, it would be better to get the PC version.

Graphics aren't really a concern, but i hear console has bad load times. Plus i cant get mods for console, which really sucks
