Duke Nukem sequel, movie? (Why not Oni?)

Of course it was bound to happen eventually, another Duke Nukem sequel is coming back to the gaming world, and there's a possible live-action movie in development.  (not an April Fool)

Why can't they bring back an Oni sequel and movie?  Life is not fair.

Because Take2 is very tight fisted about the usage of their old IPs. wink

I really would love to see Oni on XBOX360 with Kinect, until then I guess I will have to try out Kung Fu Panda 2...

(speaking of video games with movie tie-ins)

for now I can only dream of doing a devil-spin-kick in the living room, but probably would break a lamp or pull something.

Amazing, thanks for sharing.  Maybe a little out of my price range right now.  They have some more photos here:

Oni, mind controlled
I wonder how long before they get assimilated by Microsoft.

Movie? Dude, you have my personal assurance that you DON'T WANT an Oni movie. Combining a video game with a movie FAILS most of the times. Tomb Raider is an exception, rest basically sucks. Not even reminding about Uwe Boll...

You're right there, as many would agree, it would have to be done right, too easy to just screw it up.  But, I'm mainly saying that as a character and storyline Oni is much more worthy than Duke Nukem for such a project, they are really going for low-brow gratification rather than "art for the sake of art" (ars gratia artis).  Still it's fun to think of what could be, recall this thread about an imaginary cast of characters:
http://oni.bungie.org/community/forum/v … hp?id=1423

Looks like Ghost in the Shell is still a few years away from the big screen, we can only hope for IMAX-3D, or maybe they'll just hack into our prosthetic eyes/ears, etc...and upload the show directly into our brains, this article was from Jan. 2010:

I'm not gonna let anyone fiddle with my brain. I like it just the way it is with it's occasional errors and flimsy programing.

-I noticed that the hackers of oni community made a lot of modifications before they locked me up, do you have any idea what they want with an old game? -Modifications? What kind of modifications?
-Hard to tell, without getting a look at things but it looks like they're repurposing it. -Why?
-Beats me, all the game has is brutal melee combat and furious gunplay. -I dont like the sound of that.....
