Hmm, you're probably right - the envmap is of low quality.

Other than that, epic win. Especially details such as folds on thighs.
You got +1 for that.

That is her first piece of armor tho, and at that point in the game, it's argueable that, to some extent, she is somewhat innocent, just training and such, with no idea what is to come, what she is, and what the "real world" is like I suppose. Perhaps in later outfits, her expression could harden a bit, to display some of the experiences she's been thru smile

Great job, very well defined armor, although the texture looks a bit flat, kinda prefered the rough and uneven sort of texture on her original armor, especially chespiece, instead of the even grey that you put on. Other than that tho, I love it!

Re: Konoko HD

Please, could someone upload the package to Oni's mod depot? MU gives me always "The file you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable."

Re: Konoko HD

What you just did, Leucha, is... incredible, in the least. I was just thinking how you joined not so long ago and almost instantly started making this amazing Konoko model that'll change the way we play Oni for ever smile
I especially like the light reflection on her thighs wink

If you are on the MAC, we have limited support for RGB32A.  We need to swap a few channels to get it to look right.  When I have some time, I will make a Mac version of Konoko HD.

I haven't downloaded the model yet, so how 'bad' does it look on Macs? I was just wondering should I wait for the Mac version, or download it now.

Re: Konoko HD

Okay, MegaUpload apparently is not very reliable, so I moved the files to the Mod Depot.  Hope you don't mind, Leucha, I edited your links in previous posts and also adjusted the mod info a bit.  25000 was already taken by Motoko, so I moved you to 26000.  Also, since 32-bit textures are an issue right now between Windows and Mac, I set the Platform flags on each mod accordingly.

Re: Konoko HD

Thanks Iritscen, that's what I expected ^^

The only thing I can do "quickly", is to change the head of each outfit. I have many project to be done before I can spend some more time on Oni models. Just right now, I'm working on a steam-punk sword, just after, I think I'll finish Konoko CG, and then again, I've to finish another turntable for another character. So...

Re: Konoko HD

Thanks Iritscen! This model is just fantastic. Gorgeous. Amazing. I imported it in Konoko Payne, here's how it looks:

BTW 15000 tris is totally fine. Modern games use much more than that for the main character....

Re: Konoko HD

It looks amazing ! With what do you do your levels ?

Concerning optimisation, it's more a question of details you'll never see - there are many little rivulets you don't even notice and that can be faked with textures - than poly count.

Re: Konoko HD

I do my levels in 3DS MAX. (Version 5, kind of old but that's already way too much for my needs)

Optimization: yes, details you'll never see should be removed. I'm just saying "feel free to add details we *can* see" smile

Re: Konoko HD

Pierre: Your levels look great!  Glad to see you are updating Konoko Payne.  Maybe one day we can try importing your levels into Oni. :-)

One question, why is Konoko reversed?  The texture for TCTF is backwards and the part of the hair which is over the right eye is over the left.

EDIT: I just read your previous blog post.  That was a frightening day for you.  How are you feeling?  I hope you are better.

Re: Konoko HD

Oh wow.
Did I say gorgeous? I think I said gorgeous.
It's even better in game and posed. The reflections add what was needed and… haha, I love it.
(and I personally like the hair reflection better; it looks more realistic. Also, I'm fine with the eyes.)

I can't wait for EdT to release the Mac port (I'm a greedy person too it seems wink ).

Anyway, great work, Leucha. It's just Konoko the way she was meant to be.

EDIT: Woops, didn't see the Mac version. Will try it soon.
And Pierre, she looks great in KP as well! The model's more in sync with your detailed environments.

That's a fresh new Konoko we've got there big_smile !

Re: Konoko HD

I can't seem to get this working. All of her textures are coming out black except her fists and head.
This might be what Coyote was having trouble with but I re-installed Edition and nothing.
Any ideas.
And BTW the model looks GREAT!!!
Can't wait to try it out.

Re: Konoko HD

I found a temporary solution : just put the files in an another mod file, but without deleting the old ones.
For exemple :
Take : 26000KonokoHDArmorMac/Oni/level0_Final/level0_Character/TRBSkonoko_body_high.oni
And put it in
Oni (the game folder)/Edition/install/Packages/22200Special Wardrobe/oni/level0_Final/level0_Character

Idem with all the files in 6000KonokoHDArmorMac/Oni/level0_Final/level0_Character/level0_Textures

in : Oni (the game folder)/Edition/install/Packages/22200Special Wardrobe/oni/level0_Final/level0_Textures

For me, now it is working perfectly !

Re: Konoko HD

hmm What are you guys talking about?  I'm not aware of any Mac bugs, Gumby, and is myplea even on a Mac?  Nausicaä, what issues were you having with the mod when it was numbered 26000?
