VDG Mod *Release!*

Okay, so this mod was half by accidentm I was exerimenting with particles for the SF mod a few months ago. I was planning on making them standalone particles, but they are still used by the VDG pistol, giving it a new effect. it wasn't meant to be a standalone mod, but here ya go!

-Changes the effect of the VDG pistol, and adds a little bit of damage to it

Edit: Tried it, it adds a knockback effect and the particle doesn't die.

Yeah, it isn't meant to be big, but I never use the VDG, all it does is give me a free backcracker, which is no fun, so I redid the effect to make it into a weapon that might be more useable.
Take it or leave it really, but I've had lots of fun with it :3

And what do you mean particle doesnt die?

yeah i know, I think thats part of what I was doing with the particle, sense i was trying to make it activate on punch and go really far. I had forgotten that I had increased the range  lol

it's kinda fun especially with superammo and roughjustice cheats smile

a suggestion : u should change the number of the package 34000 is already the number of the ExplodingBarrel package


if u can make a VDG with 2 firing mods ( punch and kick fire differently) ... first normal stun second knock-back  ... that would be a very nice weapon.

Ummm..... I'd like to try it, but it doesn't seem to work for me.  It's supposed to be a AE package, right?

TheCreature ... it's probably conflicting with the explodingbarrel package since they have the same number, try it with the explodingbarrel package unchecked.

I would, except I don't have Exploding Barrel.  Here's what I see:

I click the dowload link, and my Mac downloads the file as a .rar.  I put the file into the packages folder, and load the installer, but it doesn't show up.

u have to put the folder that's in the rar in the install\packages folder not the rar itself.

Sry, I don't have the exploding barrels so i didnt know there was a 34000, I looked on the wiki and it wasn't listed

As recommended on the Framework page, you should also check the Depot for a package with the number you want to use.  The wiki lists AE packages only, and the Depot lists everything else.  Unfortunately I can't get the Download Link column to be sortable, but if you click on All Mods in the sidebar, you can at least use the Find function in your browser to look for a number you have in mind.

Using the AE installer... Just extract the contents into Edition>Install>packages then go to te installer, check the box that corresponds and hit install

Whoah, that's really fancy. I'll try it out today then. smile

EDIT: Just tried it - it's really fun! Particularly for launching people off of cliffs. I'm not sure if in the long run I'd prefer this over a version of the original with a shorter stun time, but I'd be interested in turning the PSP into something like this.
