alt tabbing out with mac for oni

is there a way I can have oni either run in windowed mode, or can I alt-tab out (cmd tab that is)?

Yes, you will need to use the terminal.

First open the terminal.  Next, right-click on the Oni application, from the contextual menu, select "Show Package Contents", open the folder "Contents", then "MacOS". You will see the icon "Oni".

Drag Oni to the Terminal window and you may see something like this: /Applications/Oni/Oni.app/Contents/MacOS/Oni
now add  -noswitch to the command line so it looks like this: /Applications/Oni/Oni.app/Contents/MacOS/Oni -noswitch

Press the RETURN key and Oni will start up in a window.

One big issue is that the mouse arrow does not stay in the game window.  The only workaround is to set Oni's screen resolution to the same as the desktop.

yeah, I can see how thats going to be an annoying problem

I guess theres no way to alt tab then?

Not that I know of.  I kind of thought that most games don't let you switch out of them.  At least, that was the accepted practice at one time.
