Re: Movies

@Edt
Terrific movie!
According to your very impressive movie "Konokos friend" at the iOni Airport^^, this is a further good example, how Oni can be modified.
Very good work! smile

Re: Movies

I released another movie, of which the subject is the ability I didn't know the Mutant Muro had (his grabbing fingers) smile
If you don't know what I mean now, go watch it here:! big_smile
(If it ain't there yet, its because I just uploaded it, it still has to be verified ( will take some mins))

If some of us didn't know about it (and yes I did see the Lightning Konoko from EdT which might've been from this same ability),
like myself, then by now you know big_smile
And if EdT didn't use that ability as source, maybe he (and ofcourse the other coders) can use it now, since it probably has some potential (I can see those poor strikers flying already roll:lol::P wink)

Edit: EdT indeed did this already smile (right here)

@ Tyr: One feel that you're enthusiastic in it big_smile Well, take also a look to THIS.
@ Dr.Genya: I like the part (first third) where are surrounded by enemies and do a well-placed earthquaker. ~Whooo~ How they're flying. LOL

Re: Movies

I highlighted both particles HERE when I managed to "weaponize" them and came up with modding instructions.
The Thunderbolt is easy to use against real life AI (Ed's video is a bit boring though, I wish he chased them a bit).
The Tractor is harder since not many enemies run/stay away from you. The comguy HERE is an ideal example.
(he couldn't run to me, so he just stood and stared, and then I dragged him across the pit)
Another fun thing is to catch enemies with the Tractor and then drag them around.
(you have to look back at them and keep shooting as you run; it can last forever smile )

In case you didn't notice, the "telekinetic bracelet" is included in the DemOni patches
Here's where: http://oni.bungie.org/community/forum/v … php?id=107

here is another video about OTA what i made ... -->http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8013636987840689702&hl=en<-- this 1 is good at last but its a bit long ... (13mins) but it's worth for watching it i think big_smile

Re: Movies

Note that links work better without the --><--, like this:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid … 9702&hl=en

1)
Very nice video. You've gotten quite good at dodging and pulling off combos.
And you handle big battles very nicely, so it's enjoyable all the way through.
Even though it seems to be an actual, non-stop, 13-minute recording session.
(only why do the last 2 fights take about 4 minutes each, rather than 5? hmm)

1bis)
I'm not too happy with big messy situations like in 9:20. Will ty to fix them.
Loser's "Warehouse Minus" does a very good job. Try killmequick, too.
I guess the hardest parts will be to upgrade Oni's single player now.
Otherwise you'll find Oni much too boring after all that practice smile

1ter)
I suggest you try and convert your YT account to DIRECTOR and post it there.
I hear it just works, and this video definitely deserves to figure in our group smile

2)
I should really remove the ingame music (or make the volume adjustable) ASAP.
It's a shame to record all that action only to have musical clashes every minute.
Actually, you can turn music off altogether, by replacing

        fork ArenaAreaInfo(); fork ArenaMusic();

with

        fork ArenaAreaInfo();

or

        fork ArenaAreaInfo();
#       fork ArenaMusic();

(in func main, in arena_main.bsl)

2bis)
I think Nightwish rock a little more than Metallica, as background music at least.
BTW, the second Nightwish song playing is actually called "The Kinslayer", no G.

EDIT: Here's a foretaste of what could be our next podcast.

big_smile Nice one. Maybe we finally got why the authors of compound putted the hidden items there? Maybe only for grenades jumpers? lol

Re: Movies

Hrm. Yeah. Obviously the AI did all the job... wink
We should make Barabas do extra Earthquakers.
Once he's alone, so that he can convert a few.

I'd systematically say what the soundtrack is...
And I don't like the idea of cutting a song short sad
Apart from that, yeah, rather cool coverage.

Re: Movies

Not bad. You make a good job showing how hard it is smile
(actually, in the first two spots, there's a winning tactic)
(stay close to the near edge, so the grenades just fly by)
(nice to see the prespawned striker going after you smile )
Another very fitting song is of course Take Me Out.

So if you're lonely, you know I'm here waiting for you
I'm just a crosshair, I'm just a shot away from you
And if you leave here, you leave me broken, shattered I lie
I'm just a crosshair, I'm just a shot then we can die
I know I won't be leaving here with you

I say don't you know; you say you don't know; I say... take me out
I say you don't show; don't move time is slow; I say... take me out
I say you don't know; you say you don't go; I say... take me out
If I move, this could die; if eyes move, this could die; I want you... to take me out

I know I won't be leaving here (with you); I know I won't be leaving here
I know I won't be leaving here (with you); I know I won't be leaving here... with you

I say don't you know; you say you don't know; I say... take me out
If I wane, this could die; if I wait, this could die; I want you... to take me out
If I move, this could die; if eyes move, this could die; come on... take me out

I know I won't be leaving here (with you); I know I won't be leaving here
I know I won't be leaving here (with you); I know I won't be leaving here... with you

Geyser, I bow before you three times, I love you, I *don't know whatever else* because this was what I was searching for. It is thug that HAS IT ACTIVATED (maybe some leftovers) so I can compare it, find it, document it. You are my greatest hero!!!! Thank you, Děkuji, Arigato gozaimaso, Cпасибо, Vďaka..... ^_^''''

P.S: I should look better at level 2. It is true that alarm calling was hidden here, too....

EDIT: Weird. It works JUST around that place. When AI runs a bit away from that pillars, it doesn't detect projectiles anymore. Maybe projectile dodging is pathfinding issue...??? I will look at it. And it is interesting that if AI stands on that place (chr_location 0), ALL ONCCs register projectiles from ALL weapons that have projectile sphere around their shots.

@ Loser:

"Domo etc"
You know it's not gratitude I seek. Share Your Stuff wink

"Maybe projectile dodging is pathfinding issue...?"
It certainly is, but the "feature" I highlighted is special... wink
Whether it works or not has nothing to do with pathfinding.

EDIT: I'll try to do a Mac-friendly version of the script.
