Re: AE Tools for Macs

So AETools is located in the Edition folder alongside the AETools_Data folder?  You put the latest OniSplit inside the Oni/Edition/install folder?

Do you use Yahoo Messenger?

Yes. Is it possible that it's somehow conflicting with older versions of the app?

No.

Re: AE Tools for Macs

Have you tried extracting a single file as xml?

Does the buttons on the Utilites tab work? Changing the GameDataFolder, opening the packages folder, playing Oni in a window.

What version of OSX are you using?

We'll figure this out.

Re: AE Tools for Macs

Extracting as xml gives the same error.

Everything else should seems to work fine in the Utilities except:

Play Oni gives error LSOpenFromURLSpec() failed with error -10827 for the file /Volumes/****/Oni/Oni.app. (1)

Play Oni in a window opens the vanilla Oni not the Anniversary Edition.

I'm using Leopard.

Re: AE Tools for Macs

Can you restart your computer and test again.  Also, in the Utilities Tab, what is the location of your GameDataFolder?  It should be in the Edition folder.

Re: AE Tools for Macs

Forget about that, Play Oni in a window seems to work. I think I made the Oni.app use wrong GameDataFolder smile

Sure.

That's where it is.

Re: AE Tools for Macs

That is so strange.

Try this go to the advanced tab

There is a text field under the statement "Manually enter OniSplit commands"
type in -help and press the Run button

It should open the Terminal and give you a list of OniSplit commands.

Re: AE Tools for Macs

Does the file you're are trying to convert contain a %?
If so, that is a known bug.  You need to delete the % when converting and add it back to the .oni file.

Re: AE Tools for Macs

So to recap: When using the latest AETools, extracting or converting any type of Oni files gives you the error:

System.ArgumentException: No input files found
  at Oni.Program.GetFileList (System.String[] args, Int32 startIndex) [0x00000]
  at Oni.Program.ExtractTextures (System.String[] args) [0x00000]
  at Oni.Program.Main (System.String[] args) [0x00000]  (1)

Extracting txmp's seems to work through the terminal but converting gives the same error

Did you try to convert using the Terminal or AETools?

Did the older version of AETools work for you? Exporting and Importing?

Finally, what type of computer are you using?

Re: AE Tools for Macs

Might help if OniSplit.exe was more integrated with AETools.  smile

Re: AE Tools for Macs

We're lucky it runs at all on a Mac, you're talking about an EXE compiled for Windows!  cool

Re: AE Tools for Macs

bit of a bump, but I have been working with Edt recently to bring AETools for mac up to speed. I have created a working UI for right now, we are looking into implementing this for a upcoming version of AE tools. I have created a screencapture of a demonstration of the new interface, you can watch it here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDSD4g3JJ3c&fmt=22

Please leave me some comments in this thread on what you think or would like to see with this. We are completely open to suggestions on this. I have basically taken what AETools already was and brought it up to speed to 10.6 in appearance. If you have recommendations on what could be changed or added, please post them.
