Oni in other languages

I recently re-installed Oni and for only the second or third time in the 8 years that I've had the game I took the French version (I'm german). Nevertheless, when I started playing it it got me thinking about how much English and later French this game taught me - because I played it in German first and then later when I already knew the dialogues I played it in these other languages. Even years later certain words would trigger memories of certain sentences from Oni when I heard them (words such as "casualty" or "sauvegarder"). Also, I still lmao listening to the French version because it sounds so polite - even in the heat of battle the characters are using the formal "vous"-form tongue "Do not require me to hit you!"

So I'm interested in how many language version there actually are. I have German, English and French and I know of Japanese, Russian, Spanish and Italian. Would it be illegal to upload some cutscenes in the respective languages to Youtube? (I'm asking because they have a policy of deleting everything that even *seems* illegal as most are probably aware). I'd really be interested in watching a few of these cutscenes in other languages.

Anyone else interested in this? Or do I really, really have too much free time on my hands? wink

Re: Oni in other languages

I'd be interested in hearing Oni in other languages, and I've also wondered which languages Oni was localized into.  As far as YouTube goes, uploading cutscenes shouldn't be a problem; we've put all kinds of gameplay footage up before now.

Personally, I just have the English version, so I have little to offer, but with this international group we've got here, maybe someone else will want to record some cutscenes in their game's language.

Re: Oni in other languages

Would it be possible to create language packs for each language (like level0_Babel)?

That would be cool, because french voices in Oni are... Evil.
Knoko has the voice of a ten years old little girl... And all the tones are so melodramatic. Like if they were doing a parody of themselves.
