Re: Menu Title

Make sure you have the experimental release of the Daodan DLL from SFeLi's site (http://sfeli.oni2.net/daodan/current.zip).
I think that's the only version that supports extended character sets on the standard engine.
You can also try replacing your Oni.exe and vtuneapi.dll with these ones (http://geyser.oni2.net/EXE/pc.buka/) if the experimental Daodan DLL doesn't work. Make sure to keep a backup of your original exe if that doesn't work.

Re: Menu Title

You are trying to translate it into Tamil?

...I don't think geyser added those characters. I'll double check though.

---

I checked,

"i can only add character sets that are available in some version or other"

This means, unless there is a version out there with Tamil characters in it (subititles, for instance), he can't easily add them.

Re: Menu Title

That means, you need a version that was already released in Tamil.

Re: Menu Title

I'll double check with geyser, but from the sound of it, it was more trouble than it was worth.

Re: Menu Title

He can't help you, sorry. It is indeed more trouble than it is worth.

The best I can tell you is to open up OUP and see if you can edit it yourself. It will be a lot of work though, and you will be editing the font pixel by pixel (in hex, to boot), unless you can somehow copy over from a font file that has the same format (possible, but not likely).

Do you know how to copy from a font File ?? give me a clue ...

and somebody told me that .Raw file aslo has font data.. is't true . i don't think so...

i've an idea. Oni Font Family (TSFF) is tahoma. so if i add some Tamil characters in tahoma font, then it possible or not ?

Re: Menu Title

Look, I don't know. Nobody has ever tried adding more characters to Oni. Pretty much anything is possible, but I don't know how. We don't currrently have a way to import\export fonts easily and a way is not coming.
