Yeah, I was reading about that but it didn't occur to me to post it here. Frankly, I'm still trying to figure out what "3D Live-Action" is. Generally, live-action is always three-dimensional, because otherwise you'd need two-dimensional actors and sets. Perhaps I'm being too literal.
I guess we'll have to see how it turns out, but it seems to be an odd move to use CG, if that's what they mean by 3D live-action, because so far America can only produce kids' movies with CG (ignore Beowulf, no one saw it anyway). And GitS has always been a bit on the violent side.
