Issues with making moves with explosion

So I've been trying to make a move that causes an explosion. The bomb came out fine but the problem is that it stays in the center of arena of hurt under the ground and would always appear there regardless of where I stand. Anyone have any idea why that's like that.

It is hard to say without seeing the details of the particle.

Sure I will when I get the chance to send it or not sure. Just curious about what part of it does the positioning of the particles as the explosion goes off under the ground and only in the center of arena of hurt. Oh I just remembered that I don't have to send it. I used the mad bomber explosion particle mad_x01 and its emitter particle files.

Re: Issues with making moves with explosion

This is just an idea, I have no idea how it's actually done or if it's possible. Wouldn't it be possible to use the guns? Like instead of having the gun itself, the projectile which is supposed to come out when the left click is hit would have a different start point and this would be fixed to the hand a tiny bit away so as to avoid self hitting. Is such a thing possible? Editing the start points of the weapon's fireball/lightning initiation? Ofc they've been made such that they appear to come outta the gun but obviously it's an altogether particle with it's effects. So that got me on this thought. I'm probably wrong though.

Re: Issues with making moves with explosion

I think you are talking about something similar to rayman fireball. Not really sure though. The move I am planning to make is a move where my character rolls herself into a ball in mid air then just stretched causing an explosion that blast away anyone near her. The animation would be slow giving you time to get out of the way. This moves is similar to vegita's explosion move in the ps1 game Dragon Ball GT final bout where he crouch into a ball slowly in air then immediately stretch sending out a white explosion

Oh, yeah. I was talking about something similar to Rayman fireball, I was under the impression that was the thing you were going for since it was a Mage character. Then, wouldn't using Barabas's earth shaker with an elevated point with a color mix-up give you the desired effect? Do you mean the suicide move which Vegeta uses against Buu? I haven't played any of the Dbz video games.

Re: Issues with making moves with explosion

Idk what's it called but I've seen it in the DBZ final bout I had a ps2. And I prefer to use the mad bomber explosion because of the damage it does and it explosion textures and also thinking about changing its color to sky blue or green blue. I'm trying another way to get it see if I can get it working modifying the big hammer stun particle files by changing its color, scale, texture appearance and some more

Re: Issues with making moves with explosion

Thank you ^_^ . The stun particle I borrowed from bgi hammer, I just changed the color of it. The spinning super kick was inspired by one of evil ryu's kick in capcom vs marvel game. The back forward kick the pink outfit Naomi has was partly inspired by the chun li spinning bird kick. And the back forward kick from camoflauge Naomi was a copy of jade shadow kick. The getup back and getup forward kicks were just ideas I came up with. Oh yeah and the new kick throw from Naomi purple and camo are inspired by lil Kim blazer in def jam FFNY. That game has some pretty good grapple moves

Was just explaining for Scarlett wink
Unless that was sarcasm or something ... written stuff is always hard to interpret right.

Well, I shouldn't speak for paradox, but he seems concerned about the mod being "safe for work", and he's not in the U.S.  So it's not just Americans that can be concerned about a partially undressed character.

Re: Issues with making moves with explosion

So a character showing some skin like stomach, shoulders, legs, characters wear tight outfits are an issue in some countries? Some of the outfits were inspired by other game characters in well known games. And if one outfit isn't ok, you can just switch to another

Re: Issues with making moves with explosion

I don't think it's an issue for most gamers if a character is scantily dressed, though Naomi does stand out from the other characters that we are used to seeing in Oni.  But it could be that we are making too much of paradox's brief comment.
