Wow, how long did it take to find this? I remember creating a thread like 3 years ago on the matter, I never really thought it actually existed. yikes Where did you find this?

Re: Japanese Language pack

I kinda understand Japanese smile, so it doesn't bother me, but i don't think i would be able to play with BROCKMASALA being shouted and other stuff xD

What does it matter? Even if the odds are against me, I'll do it, it doesn't matter.

Re: Japanese Language pack

Posting "bugs" with playing the game in japanese with subtitles, as I find them:

Level 2 - The Deadly Brain's subtitles disappear too quickly to read.
Level 3 - After beating Barabas, Shinatama's radio message has no subtitle.

Will update when I get farther.

Re: Japanese Language pack

The Brain's subtitles are always too fast to read.  There's not enough time to show such a long sentence while the sound that's playing is merely, "Hmmmm".  That was probably part of the joke.

Re: Japanese Language pack

i was asking because the only reason i know that could cause reflective textures to look like that is if you have an older daodan or onisplit that doesn't support reflective textures. if you're using the new AE then the daodan and onisplit are auto-updated and are correct, must be something else :\ no idea what though ...

Re: Japanese Language pack

Bozzman's doors were messing up alone for some reason. This voice mode is working fine for now... I'll just keep the mods installed to a smaller number.

Re: Japanese Language pack

I thought I should upload this to the depot .. but then I saw the size ... is this really a 229 MB zip o_O ?
Iritscen do you think the file size limit can be increased to support packs like this one ? or maybe split to smaller packs and have 1 pack that has a dependency on all of them ..
if not could someone upload the female voices separately somewhere please :$ ? (carens, konoko, furies ... just the taunts, super moves, hurt, startle, death sounds i.e the sounds mentioned in the ONCCs no need for the cutscene ones )

Re: Japanese Language pack

Sorry, but there's a reason this isn't on the Depot, and the reason isn't size.

Re: Japanese Language pack

Is there a mod for translating? I could translate Oni into several languages...

Re: Japanese Language pack

There's not an existing mod template for translating Oni, exactly.  It wouldn't be difficult technically to make one, you'd just have to replace the 'text" files, like the subtitles, the diary, weapon and help pages, and the consoles.  It would be a lot of work to do the translation, though, and Oni has already been translated officially into many languages, so I don't know if there's enough interest to justify the amount of work involved.

Re: Japanese Language pack

It could be split into a 100 MB OSX install and a 200 MB PC install. But I'm lazy. There are a few extra sounds in there, too.

Re: Japanese Language pack

Hey guys, I'm new to the Oni Anniversary Edition and while I find it very easy to install all the mods from the depot I have no idea how to go about installing this. I would really like to try it as it will be a good excuse to play this amazing game again. Would you mind giving me some direction towards making this language pack work?  wink
