Actually, the "butt slam" sounds good for me with the chorus/echo. But we must see if that won't be a problem when making it actually sound like a power move from Oni.

samer, if you can give me the sounds as wav, I can make a script for edt or any mac user to do batch converting to aif.

yeah sure that would be really helpful dirk but they still aren't working as wave yet sad do u want these ? leus uploaded them in the previous post, but i think it's better to wait till we have a final working version. and for hayate edt already converted them. and thx ^_^

well it doesn't matter what format they are, you can email me a download link to them when you are ready and I can give it a go and post a script for mac users so they can just do it themselves in the future.

Actually Leus hold on :\ there seems to be some problem on my end, cz i tried to convert the hayate sounds again with same result, weird thing is i've used 2 different sound converter with same settings ( bit rate, channels and all) but each gave a different result hmm  one gave very slow sound in the game and 1 gave the noisy one.

EDIT : ok i didn't expect this tongue they're working now but in case anyone is interested , using different wav editors will effect the result, i was using "cyberpower audio editing lab" that gave the noisy thing, before for hayate i used WaveMax sound editor, though the programs look the same (guess one ripped off the others gui) :\ and though i saved with same settings (all the little details) , only WaveMax gave the right result, i tried several other programs as well, format factory, audacity, didn't work well.

so moral of story big_smile this is gonna make it harder for users who want to mod sounds on their own, not any sound editor will do.

p.s both programs are not free i got them on the daily giveaway site i mentioned before.

Jester should be released later today smile if u still want to re-make that evil laugh leus big_smile tell me so i wait ^^ and sorry for all the trouble tongue

I won't have a chance to do it again for a while, so go ahead and release him, but maybe in the future we can re-do some stuff if you want.  smile


If we don't change the direction we're going, we'll likely end up where we're headed.

He is great! The moves are funny and he looks good.

The only thing is I can't run as him, or maybe it is just me.

Yes, I can, but Jester just walks, no matter how many times I press the 'forward' key. Can't pick up items, shoot or reload.
Also, I don't know if that is intended, but Jester cannot be knocked down. Reinstalling didn't fix.

& thanks oxe and EdT big_smile   I updated the first post with the mac sounds smile btw EdT u said u wanted to recheck the hayate sounds are they working ? if not i think i should give u the working wav not mp3.

I uploaded Hayate's Mac sounds to the depot, so both characters has the Mac sound files on their mod page. :-)

Guys there's a new bug I became aware of now, using jester and the new character additives packages (that supports hanako) causes jester to become unthrowable and can't be knocked down, it's due to the jewel fix component of the character additives .. I don't know what is causing it at the moment .. As he works well with the separate jewel fix package. Till i fix this u can delete the jewel fix folder from the character additives.
also i need conformation from anyone using them if they encounter that bug as well or it's only something on my end.
Also please report if this bug happens with any other characters or packages.
if anyone has any idea why it's happening also i'd appreciate it.

His TRAC file jester_animations links to hay_animations. My guess is that if Hayate is not installed that engine fails to find some anims like knockdown.

It does yikes ? It's supposed to Link to jest-animations, and i've tested it as only package before release ..  still doesn't explain why it would work with separate jewel fix pack but not if included with the character additives.
I'll look into the trac further. Thx
