Re: Flatline Alpha

Updated post. You should no longer need to download a new binkw32, it is included by the current AE

Re: Flatline Alpha

i don't understand Mister Gumby, what does this mean? Does it mean we will no longer be required to remember step 3.5 ? I'm trying it out right now, lan with my brother. I'll give you the feedback later smile. Thanks for creating flatline.

Re: Flatline Alpha

This is not quite correct Gumby. We dropped Flatline with the current builds as it was too troublesome to make it compile wink

Re: Flatline Alpha

Like Alloc said above, it is currently disabled. If you have the old binary, go to whatismyip.com or something similar.

Also: I am no longer actively offering support for Flatline. I don't have the time nor inclination to check up on this thread often.

Re: Flatline Alpha

Gumbly, please provide bink32.dll file for flatline. Flatline won't run without it.

Re: Flatline Alpha

Nooooo!!!!! I wish the details could be revealed as to why Flatline was so difficult to compile and had to be REMOVED.
I've apparently waited too long to use it with my friends and now all of Gumby's hardwork is scrapped from AE without Gumby getting any notice prior?
What the flip.

Rage aside, AE2 has brought together some great work from you modders out there. Great job. I'm enjoying your work. Oni Forever.
If the status changes on Flatline being compiled in AE, please post here. I will be watching this thread, no doubt.

Re: Flatline Alpha

I suppose you're right. What would I know about AE's compilation?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to whatever could come close to replacing multiplayer for Oni... perhaps it is one in the same but optimized..!
gasp!

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Re: Flatline Alpha

Man I'm softly dying waiting on news for the Flatline-like project. Even pre-alpha news would suffice.

Re: Flatline Alpha

Well, I can tell you that the project you speak of is still in active development.  It's too early for any official announcement, but I can at least say that it's coming along.  I'd rather not make any promises, as it's good to be cautious about these things, especially considering the roadblocks that the prior three multiplayer attempts hit.  But maybe in a couple months.

Re: Flatline Alpha

I said a couple months, it's only been 57 days tongue  I want to make sure that things have a decent chance of working well (not just working) before I announce anything, that's why I've been quiet about it.

Fair enough. That IS quite a short time in Oni community development lol. No matter the outcome, my friends and I are truly grateful for the time and work being put in.
