Re: Creating new level

another reason we need onilib, we should talk sometime soon about how I should implement that, because i have AGQG parsing done, should be relatively easy to null out the collision data.

Re: Creating new level

Well, as EdT was mentioning, OniSplit looks for certain textures to be attached to polys to indicate certain flags, for instance if it sees TXMPINVIS, it triggers the 'invisible' flag when converting the DAE.  I know that's how Neo would have implemented no-collision, if he'd actually thought to do that in OniSplit -- have a texture for indicating passability (no-collision).  I'm not sure what your ambitions were for OniLib in the area of converting 3D data, though.  It's a pretty complex subject that I don't know much about, although we do have OniSplit's source code to look at.  (P.S., we probably should take this to another thread if you want to continue.)

Re: Creating new level

What about using 2 polygons with the normals facing outwards and applying the texture to both polygons.

Re: Creating new level

Copy of the polygon in the same coordinates with reverse normal and same textures, right? Yes i do it but have warning message

Re: Creating new level

EDIT: Let me ask Neo about it.

I made a simple level with 2 polygon planes slightly offset from each other.  I applied the texture to both and had the normal facing outwards.  It sort of worked.  But when I looked at the lab level the glass is made up of a single polygon and yet the glass texture is visible on both sides.

Re: Creating new level

You need to flag the quad as "0x00 02 00 00 - two-sided". Unfortunately, no easy way to do so, eh?

Iritscen: roll
Iritscen: it's amazing this program even works
Gumby: i know
Iritscen: and that statement applies to my code, not just yours

Re: Creating new level

I spoke with Neo and he says, set the polygon as transparent for the polygon to be 2 sided.

Re: Creating new level

Thank your for reply.

I created small geometry with glass(polygon and polygon with reverse normal), half transparent effect here (format -bra32) http://cid-8a09fea1c371b00f.office.live … lass-b.zip it's fun

Re: Creating new level

That effect would make an interesting "fun house" level :-)
