Hello there

Absolute Oni modding n00b here. I got this game sometime last year when I decided to go through the backlist of games that I missed out on first time around. I love games that actually attempt to put some depth into grouped hand-to-hand fights, so this and Breakdown (on the XBox) I regard as largely overlooked gems.
usually the first thing I do when I get a game is check out if there are any modding communties, and frankly I'm astounded I missed this.
So what I have to ask is this - Is there a modding FAQ for Oni anywhere around here? Also, what tools do you use for modding the game, and what mods currently come highly recommended? It's a game with quite a bit of potential for fun, and I'm interested in doing more with it.
Thanks. ^^

Re: Hello there

I just had some vague notions regarding enhancing the hand-to-hand combat system, perhaps adding a specific block button - I'm too used playing 1-on-1 fighters and pressing something to block. Just standing there goes against every instinct I have tongue

EDIT: Thanks for the link by the way, looks like a good place to start.

If you don't like standing there, use dodges then. big_smile

Re: Hello there

Durrrr xD
'course I dodge, but sometimes it ain't the most efficient way of dealing with something. I always find myself looking for a block button, even after having played Oni this long. O.o

Also, I love that avatar. I've seen it more times than I could possibly count, seeing it on a forum profile is quite amusing.
I have to wonder why something built on logic seems to defy it so easily...

Hah. Unless you mod\script, you shouldn't normally see that very often. big_smile

Re: Hello there

I think geyser speaks russian...he might have lived there at one point, you would have to ask him.

And there is a russian forum...or there used to be atleast O_o.
