kojiro failed on OSrVariantList_Variant_GetByVariant

Tried re-installing after I moved the character variant fixes into the Globalization folder.  Kojiro doesn't have one for his specific folder 'cause you made him after you figured out about that problem, right?

which character variant fixes are u talking abt ? the old ones ?? or the ones included with this package ? u have to use the ones in this package ... and after i made him i updated the character variant fix on the other thread so anyone who downloads it after kojiro is installed won't have any problems .

please be patient and I appreciate u telling me cz i want to solve it ...

in detail u have to open the zip of kojiro u download from this thread and only this

there are 2 folders in the zip move ALL the files in the folder named "character variant" to the exact folder specified in the read me and OVERWRITE-REPLACE any pre existing-files (if there aren't any pre-existing files with the same name then u have thee wrong folder )

then put the package in the install packages folder open AE installer and hit install ...

is this what u have done ?

this is the exact method i used for casey before ... and u installed it smoothly :s

EdT do u have any idea what might be going wrong :S u know this stuff more than me

ok I have re-tested it ... installed it as the only package and it still works :\ ! I don't know what's wrong with urs .. can u please tell me what other custom character packages u have ?  and if u have installed other packages after it.

Okay, so when I moved the variant fix files originally I DIDN'T replace the ones that were already there...  Now that I did that it works smile

I'm glad Radio Saber is a move but I feel like it's rather underwhelming...  He just punches forward.  I dunno.  *shrug*  But dude it's so rad you're making all these unique and badass characters.  That final fight is like sweet as hell now.

I'm glad it works smile  In the readme file I did say overwrite when necessary ^_^ maybe I should have clarifed it more ... ( u have to replace the old ONLV list bec the old one doesn't include kojiro tongue )

I used Gumby's Idea ^_^ for  the radio saber move ... It does have 20 damage tongue which is more than devil spin kick, it is also unblockabe and invulnerable (they can't hurt u when u perform it)

I also suggest turn on the camera to the side and see the move tongue it's not just a crouch and punch it's a slide and punch very similar to the ninja's heavy punch ^_^

did u like his daodan glow ^_^ ?

ill try again, but from memory, i replaced the variants and installed them after i did this, but ill uninstall and go over the readme and try again.

EDIT: Dunno what i did wrong before, but it works, good work.
How were all of you even aware of radio saber??

to answer ur question I wasn't aware of it until I read it somewhere in the wiki ^_^ the quotes of comguy included "Radio Saber" which I never heard in game ... then Iritscen mentioned it in the posts above ^_^

Guys I know I just released version 2 yesterday, however there's something I forgot to upload into it :S

Initially I gave him a PPK & PPKK moves ... I've come to notice that these moves are spamable

especially if PPKK then K K K ... this gives the player an unfair advantage if playing as kojiro and with the AI it also doesn't look so good .

so I changed his PPk to a new modified PPK which is similar to sledgerheel kick in effect - no more PPKK - and changed his forward kick .

I forgot to upload this in version 2 so here it is in version 3

@ Leus no I didn't :S the reason is I already had those 2 textures ready - the first is same one I used for kojiro just made the skin darker and goggles blue - the second is for the BGI ninja I'm working on so I figured I'd release them for other com-guys .
If time permits I want to improve the facial textures of Karens - Tankers - Kerr- & the other furies which severed left out + of course the com-guy I left out.

ok I just added some motion blur to the PPK and heavy kick to make them look more unique so if u want that download it again ... that's the only difference - done on 30/11/09

since I'm going with green and black and white as the color scheme for the BGI, kojiro needed a make over so he won't look BGI too, so i've decided to ditch the green kojiro look and replace him with ...

kojiro 2.0 :

the skull mark on the chest is the same i used before on the grey fury, ... i'll also give him regeneration, then he, the grey fury and the regenerating tanker would make up the skull team.

the look is basically done (so no major request changes cz i'm not changing the trbs or the color tbh ^^) still, some finishing touches remain, reflectivity to the armor and such.

i also smoothed out the face in xsi, so u'll notice no square chin. (hopefully)

there won't be any major changes in the moves except smoothing out the transitions, and making the radio saber move more ... super move like.

the contrails and daodan glow will be changed to red to fit this outfit.

there will be some changes to the moveset but mainly since he is muro's right hand man he'll have different techniques from different syndicate forces, don't expect something completely original for him, like hayate or casey or the bgi, his moveset will be taken from different syndicate characters, i'll remove the moves which i've overused though, like the ninja low kick, and i'll add an equivalent to the willow kick ... if u have any moves in particular that u think would suit him more or moves u didn't like .. feel free to share ^^ i'm going to start the trac all over so ur feedback can help me decide which moves to keep and which to replace. ^^


P.S : he is more meant to be character u fight against rather than play, though if u play as kojiro u would be surprised to see that he can actually beat enemies quite easily ( was playing as him and he beat casey and grey fury.)

Ah... Finally! big_smile

I think the X belts should be a little lighter and more greyish, maybe just on the borders.
The color scheme is pretty good, but the textures look a bit too flat... They don't really seem like metal, but it is probabily because it lacks a bit of reflectivity.
Also, what kind of regeneration do you speak of? Like Barabus?

other com guys don't look they are wearing metallic armor either :\ ... reflectivity should do it.

ouh EdT i like ur ideas ! especially the ones that use the custom characters ^_^

here's the final look with the reflectivity added .. i added reflectivity on the armor and lighter reflectivity to the leather of the belts ...
