Re: creating ae package

The file level0_Newweapons.dat needs to be converted to other format to create a package. But I need the file. Where did you get it?

Or if you want I'll just show you how to convert it.

Re: creating ae package

Hmm, that mod might be obsolete because we have a New Weapons package in the AE now.  Where did you get it?

But to answer your question, you would use the command "onisplit.exe -export target_folder level0_NewWeaponsPC.dat" to extract the .oni files from the files you have and place them in "target_folder".  Then you can place those .oni files in the folders that love_Oni provided.

Re: creating ae package

First, you just copy the file "level0_NewWeapons.dat" and "level0_NewWeapons.raw" to your Edition\install folder.

Make sure there is a file "OniSplit.exe" in your Edition\install folder.

Go to Start\Programs\Accessories and copy the file "Command Prompt" to your Edition\install folder.

Right-click the file "Command Prompt.exe" in your Edition\install folder, select Properties.

In the "Start in" box, type the address of your Edition\install folder. For example: "E:\Oni\Edition\install"

Press OK.

Open the file "Command Prompt.exe" in your Edition\install folder, type:

onisplit.exe -export level0_NewWeapons level0_NewWeapons.dat

... and press Enter.

After a while, there will be a folder "level0_NewWeapons" created and contains .oni files for you.

Now continue your step.

Re: creating ae package

Step 6. For every level that your mod uses, make a "levelX_Final" folder inside "oni". (level1_Final, level2_Final, etc...) New levels are currently not detected.

Step 6.5. In each of the folders created in the previous step, make another "levelX_Final" folder inside the first one.

Step 7. Put level0 oni files inside their respective folders as created in step 5.5

Step 8. Put levelX (anything but level0) oni files inside their respective levelX_Final/levelX_Final directories

step .6 ???? every level ??????can somebody actually make a picture step by step ...for someone like me ///(who can't read )
well yes ....what levelX_final ????what does it mean by the level my mod use ?????

Re: creating ae package

LevelX_Final folder is level0_Final, level1_Final, level2_Final... where X can be 0,1 or 2 etc... The files you put in level0_Final will work for level 0 (level 0 means the entire game, or all levels), the files you put in level1_Final will work for level 1, etc...

Actually most of the mods only work for level 0, not many works for other levels, so you just ignore step 6 and step 6.5.

You can pick someone's mod and learn things.

Re: creating ae package

XML folder is nothing. Accidentally left in, it doesnt hurt anything. Could you upload your package?

Re: creating ae package

There are 2 things need to be fixed

1- In the file "Mod_Info.cfg", the "ModString" line should be

ModString -> 99000BlackOpsKonoko 1

(add the number 1)

2- There are 2 files in the folder "level0_Characters\BlackOpsKonoko". Copy it to the folder "level0_Characters" and delete the folder "level0_Characters\BlackOpsKonoko".

Re: creating ae package

The second thing doesn't matter. Subfolders are fine for organization.
