Mac Web Browser - Camino

I just found this web browser for mac called Camino.
It's made by Mozilla (who did Firefox) and uses the same rendering engine as Firefox, combined with Aqua. I'm using it, and recommend other Mac-users to try it at least.

Re: Mac Web Browser - Camino

I've been using Camino for a while, and I would also recommend it! Firefox always felt kinda clunky to me, and the lack of keychain integration was disappointing (though not surprising), so I switched to Camino and have been using it ever since.

Are you using a nightly build or the beta? Session saving and proper spell-checking are nice things to have. A word of warning, though: if you used CaminoSession you'll have to remove it or 1.1 will be totally useless as a web browser.

Re: Mac Web Browser - Camino

I'm using 1.0.4 which is the latest stable release, but not the nightly build or beta. I prefer using stables all together when I can.

Re: Mac Web Browser - Camino

I am using Camino too. With v1.0.4 the internet looks like a safer place to explore now.

What if this is as good as it gets?

Re: Mac Web Browser - Camino

I like using keywords in Camino, especially for searches. (Of course this also works in Firefox)
I have a google bookmark with the url:
http://www.google.com/search?q=%s  and a keyword of "gs".

For example if I want to search for "ipod" all I need to do is hit "command L" to get to the location bar then type gs ipod.  I don't have to reach for the mouse to click in the search bar, then type the search term.

For more info go to:
http://www.caminobrowser.org/support/docs/bookmarks/  and look for the heading "Bookmark keywords and searches"

CamiTools allows you to customize some features of Camino.

Opera has all that, and then some... smile

Hello, Serguei!
It's been long time since our last exchange.
It can't be said I am a really active member here. Looks like there are some interesting developments going on these days...
By the way, will be DemOni ever ported to the mac by our invaluable Ed?
