Do we really want oni to be more popular?

Do we really want lots of people finding out about oni. Then they show up to this site and start being d-bags not following rules and swearing.then we wont have our small site where its organized and and theres no bad people bothering users.

Well, there's definitely a point where the sense of community can go downhill, but I don't think we're very close to it ^_^

If we get to even a tenth the size of the Halo fandom (a twentieth? a fiftieth?), we'll have problems like that, but I think we have a ways to go before then, and up to that point, more members are a good thing. For instance, there's not a lot of people who want to mod right now so the AE moves forward slowly. Maybe with more Oni fans hanging around we'll have more helpers!

Well, yeah, like you said, i think it's better to have a small community with alot of good people, than a spam-fest.

well its kinda nice we have asmall main community oif oni-lovers(lol as opposed to oni-lover) like we have around maybe 50 active members and we can have ome pretty fun conversations together since we more or less know each other so i think this small forum is nice but a popular multiplayer would be better

yea i think we keep it down forawhile until after we get Oni2 project running den we try to publicise it? CUz now were in the stage of learning this action packed game and understanding how its made so id say lets keep it low ^^

Yeah I used to dream that I play an Oni multiplayer times ago, there were many guys who played Muro, Mukade, Shinatama... and I played as Konoko. I remember that when I fight with a guy who played Muro, he killed me, and then he repaired his hair, said that "May be I should start trying". I was angry, then I typed "Oh no you don't, you aren't getting away that easily". That's weird, but funny .

anyways yeah, i would definately go for a help course for programming, my problem is, i want to script, but i dont have ideas, or the skill to do it, if you guys have anything you need, that's not too difficult i would be happy to help, or sumthin even more difficult, but you showed me how

The ideas part is always the hardest part. Even the most complicated script can be broken down in to smaller, easier to manage, parts. That is, essentially, how to program. Take your big problem, break it down into peices, break those into smaller pieces, and so on, until you have pieces you know exactly how to do.

Also, don't forget to play other people's scripts, so you can "take inspiration" from their ideas. That's what I did with EdT's Good vs. Evil script. ;D

There's a bunch of scripts I haven't gotten onto the Depot yet, so go here for even more scripts.
