Can a TRAM emit a particle?

I'm working a bit with particles. I would like to a certain TRAM emit a specific particle (in this case blood) but I'm not sure if it can be made this way.

I know TRAM supports contrail kind of particles but can they emit general particles like dust or blood?

Thanks.

Re: Can a TRAM emit a particle?

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but sure TRAMs can have particles emitted. The dust particle is used in many TRAMs examples slide moves and red's heavy kick. Mutant Muro,  Rayman, Hammer and paradox's dragon unit, all emit particles from their TRAMs. So blood shouldn't be much different I guess. In the xml of the tram there's a particle section where you specify the particle's name (as it's named in the ONCC) and the start and end frames of the animation where the particle should be emitted and specify which bone it will be emitted from.
Any particles added to the tram should also be added to the corresponding character's ONCC.

Re: Can a TRAM emit a particle?

Samer is right: the usual way is to set a link in TRAM and register the particle in ONCC as described here.
When you look at Konoko's daodan powerup anim you will see it's the same way.

Another method is to use existing connections and insert your new code.
That's actually what you and Gumby have done with the current blood mods where BINA3RAPh2h_flash_e01.oni links to the new code.
It was an very elegant way not to edit all ONCC files.

Re: Can a TRAM emit a particle?

Thanks guys. I will try the ONCC method!

I've tried it once but failed since I only added the particle in TRAM and not in the ONCC.

Re: Can a TRAM emit a particle?

Ok updated perceptible blood package:
http://mods.oni2.net/node/141

v1.1 10-02-2014:
-Now blood dropped is lower
-Now when characters fall from higher places they also drop blood (only ONCCs based on Konoko so far)

Thanks guys in the end I linked to another particle.
