Key problems (win7 Pro x64)...

This is really weird...

After installing the AE edition, the direction keys "WASD" didn't work at all...
But the space key(jump) and the shift key(crouch) are working fine...

Well, my keyboard is good... Any suggestions?...

Take a look at the key_config.txt file in the edition folder, what is bound to forward, stepleft, backward and stepright?  Is it WASD?

That's pretty bizarre.  The only thing I can think of is how BSL can be used to disable some input, as in the Training level.  By the way, did you remove the intro.bik file from the GDF yourself?

I didn't remove anything, the intro.bik file is not in the "Edition\GDF" folder from the beginning ...

So, do your controls still work fine when you play the original Oni (open the Oni.exe in the Oni folder, not the Edition folder)?

Re: Key problems (win7 Pro x64)...

Well, I cannot open the original Oni...
Every time I try to open the original Oni, the screen always shows "Oni has stopped working, windows is checking for a solution to the problem."

I guess this is the compatibility issue with windows 7 64bit version?

I got it...

Just run oni.exe in compatibility mode for windows 98/me ...

But I still cannot open the original oni.exe...

Hmm, so the AE Oni is working for you?  With the WASD keys?

Yeah, the AE Oni is working perfect now, with all keys...

Re: Key problems (win7 Pro x64)...

Interesting, that seems to be a new problem-and-solution.  And if you do want to play the original Oni, you can simply copy the EXE from the AE folder and the binkw32.dll (Daodan DLL) file into the main Oni folder.
