Re: Kojiro Editor 1.0 - Uploaded to the Depot!

It would be a huge difference in usability. Representing data with the wrong type of view is bad. You wouldn't represent the miles per gallon your car gets every day as a pie chart, would you?

And look, you can do treeviews in RealBASIC:

Re: Kojiro Editor 1.0 - Uploaded to the Depot!

I tried to use lists as treeviews before, no success. It is not a good control for this, it is very complicated, and it does not support treeview well. I can't get parents of rows, I can't show columns and treeview togheter, and that's why this is a better display type. Lists are easier, work better for this kind of thing, and I don't need parents in the way I'd need with treeviews.

Saw the link. Note as that guy had to use a lot of code for something that could be simpler and nicer.

ALSO: The treeview in the image is from the Einhugur library, wich is not free.

I don't really think the tree view is going to make a big difference.  I think LK's time is better spent on fixing issues or on the plugin system, which will be a bigger GUI improvement than a tree view.  Besides, doesn't the Preview pane on the side show you the overall structure of the file?
