Re: Flatline Alpha

DOUBLE POST FOR GREAT JUSTICE!

Ok after some testing I figured the best arenas would be...
-Warehouse Save point 4, I think it would work considering the number of mods that take place there
-Cargo Hangars, save point 3 I think it was...well it was where Gumby took the footage of him and me playing
-Arena level because well...it's an arena
-Science Prison, it's small enough for an arena or a place for a chase fight if you like that

Levels that won't be good
-TCTF I don't think would be good, the place seems too crowded and none of the locations seem good for an arena
-Regional State...we've played there many times, it's my least favorite arena
-Rooftops, you fall, you respawn on the dead air, you die again etc. (unless someone makes a script)

I'll edit this later i has to go now

Re: Flatline Alpha

Really, anyone can get a game set up. I've been too busy to play Flatline recently, but if someone else wants to host and the directions don't work, talk to me on YIM "thegumbitha".

Re: Flatline Alpha

Came across this: http://imvox.com/

imVOX is a social voice communications platform for gamers. In short, it helps you talk to friends while gaming.
imVOX is free for most uses. Any user can create one server that can hold up to 30 people simultaneously for free.
It also has a calender to setup events,  multiplayer schedules.

Now you can trash talk each other while playing Flatline!

Re: Flatline Alpha

Lately I've been trying to host a server over WAN. But no one seems to be able to connect, even though I've forwarded the 27777 port. Partially everything goes well when I type the "host" command in the console. It shows my local IP, but gives me this socket info thing: "An operation was attempted at something that is not a socket." I'm a bit rusty on all the Cisco stuff, so if someone could enlighten me a little.

Does anybody else have this problem?

Re: Flatline Alpha

It seems I celebrated this year's 4th of July pretty nicely, despite I'm not American: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nKyKXIqEUw
Notes:
-We had different packages and everything was working more or less fine.

Re: Flatline Alpha

Hahahahaha, that's because I pulled a chr_focus on Delano xD

I can control his moves but had to fight to control his movement, which is why he isn't going anywhere in particluar smile

Also, I wasn't the fem scientist, I was fem cop the whole time :-/

Re: Flatline Alpha

that was ... funny tongue .. why do all the characters have wrong tracs hmm

btw that is not "my move" it's simply the running back ninja kick, always been in game. my move is the one where i turned it forward for hayate and made it a dodge move

Re: Flatline Alpha

No, it's because Delano didn't have any packages installed, so custom characters were replaced by generic ones. I was Akane, but showed up as fem cop smile

Re: Flatline Alpha

I'm speaking for Gumby here, but: Not until you record a match where characters actually have the right appearances for their TRACs, where the console messages aren't scrolling up over half the screen, and where you don't say "there's a lot of bugs here" in the intro and then spend the first half minute intentionally glitching the throw mechanic wink

Re: Flatline Alpha

& type co_display = 0  to hide the console msgs ^_^

Re: Flatline Alpha

I managed to pull off a Flatline LAN party with about 6-9 PCs. Encountered bugs:
-God mode bug.
-Host was getting screwed up sooner or later
-One guy (client) somehow managed to get weapons (he says he got them using either F6 or F7). Possible reason of host problems, I suppose?
-One PC got blam when I was trying to connect to the server.

1. No cheats were used. At least not liveforever.
2. You know, something got screwed up, connection lost or something and every Oni started to do the last thing the users were doing (running) to infinity.

Re: Flatline Alpha

It seems like there's some kind of time limit before one of the games crash and the character in game keeps running forward. I've only used two computer so far and they are located 5 metrees from each other. Has there been any updates to flatline?

-I noticed that the hackers of oni community made a lot of modifications before they locked me up, do you have any idea what they want with an old game? -Modifications? What kind of modifications?
-Hard to tell, without getting a look at things but it looks like they're repurposing it. -Why?
-Beats me, all the game has is brutal melee combat and furious gunplay. -I dont like the sound of that.....

Re: Flatline Alpha

Just as F8 changes the character class, F7 changes the current weapon. They are usually both considered cheats.
BTW, you can even get two weapons at the same time using F7...
