AE Install problem

hi, i was trying to globalize AE Oni and this came up.

Do I have to beat oni before i do this? I did a fresh install of the whole game.

Re: AE Install problem

Did you put the Edition folder right inside the Oni folder?

[Will be moving this thread to AE forum.]

Re: AE Install problem

And you do have the IGMD folder inside the GDF, right?

Re: AE Install problem

Okay, I have to correct myself, the Installer was looking for Oni ƒ/Edition/GDF/IGMD.  It should have made that itself, using Oni ƒ/GDF/IGMD.  But for some reason it didn't  hmm  Can you post Globalize.log?  It should be in Edition/install/.

Re: AE Install problem

Try renaming the folder to simply Oni, remove " ƒ" and see what happens.

Re: AE Install problem

No, beating the game is not necessary.  But did you try to run the Installer and globalize after removing the "ƒ" from the folder name?  Also, you didn't post Globalize.log.

I posted it as a picture. I'm going to try it on windows i honestly dont know why its not working. what are all the files I'm supposed to have in the Oni ƒ and the Edition Folder ect. maybe we can find something missing and work from there.

Re: AE Install problem

No, Globalize.log is a text file in Edition/install.  The Installer makes it when it attempts to globalize.

For a list of the files you should have, see http://wiki.oni2.net/Oni_(folder) .

ok ,on my mac i made a copy of IDMG folder and moved to the editions GDF and i ran the AE Installer and it said i could play oni, so i launched oni from the edition folder and no AE. sad if you could post screen shots of how your folders look that would be awesome. i am terribly confused.

Re: AE Install problem

It should look like this:

Oni
  GameDataFolder
      IGMD
  Edition
      install
         Installer

When AE is installed then it looks like:

Oni
  GameDataFolder
      IGMD
  Edition
      GameDataFolder
         IGMD
      install
         Installer
