You still haven't taken part in the discussion in a coherent way.  This is the Anything But Oni forum, not the Type Your Random Half-Thoughts forum.

We need that forum! I'd open the first thread. It's a game I've seen in another forum some years ago: it's called "roll your head over the keyboard and post the results"  big_smile

Having faith that humanity will make the right choice doesn't entail not taking action to be part of the choice; after all, we're part of humanity, right?  The only alternative to having hope is, of course, to give up hope.  And honestly, what's more dangerous than that?  I feel that the ONLY way things will ever change is if people keep hope ALIVE; if enough people believe the change can be made, they'll make it.  But if they're all alone in a world of hopelessness and despair they'll be tempted to give up too.  It's a support system, basically.

It's a difference whether you believe the change CAN be made or that the change WILL be made. You're right, not believing in the first thing leads to despair but believing in the second one can cloud one's vision on the state of things. It's not a sure thing that the necessary changes will be made in time and falsely believing that the change will come anyway (I'm not accusing you of doing that, but often when I adressed this topic I heard the response "Oh but science/god/the market/the people/the easter bunny will come up with something. Some deus ex machina will save the day in the end.") is dangerous.

Re: Anyone here bored besides me?

at first i just thought it was friggin hard, but it gets fun trying to stay on top of the falling blocks without touchingthe ground. I bascially hold the up key down and press k everytime i come up next to a block

Re: Anyone here bored besides me?

I used to play a 3D version of Tetris called Blockout and now I get full score every time there's a test that involves rotating objects. And they say video games aren't good for anything.

The best thing to do when you're bored is physical work.
