NEW CHARACTER: * Casey * =Version 4= updated on 20/08/12

Casey is ready for download, I like to think of him as a possible male hero instead of our beloved heroine Konoko

Special thanks to :
-Mukade for a unique heavy kick
-TheCreature for the sounds
-Bozzman for the blackops textures, I also used some of his other work to improve the tctf-lite, and the lose screen outfit
-Severed, I used his textures to make the cop outfit

Version 4 change log :
Model:
-Replaced first 'blue' outfit
-Added an outfit resembling the lose screen outfit (I'll call it the 'original' outfit)
-Various Texture improvements for the cop, lion jacket, blackops, and tctf lite outfits (Blackops textures by Bozzman)
-Face texture and head mesh improvements

Animations :
-Changed the heavy Kick to a new one (thanks to Mukade)
-Changed Forward and backward Jump Punch
-Decided to remove the 4th punch since he has pkk and pkp combos
-Changed the backward kick throw, (felt the previous one was too fury specific)
-All throws work on VDG-stunned enemies
-Fixed Jump heights and run-slide to run transition

Sounds :
-Added heavy kick and heavy punch sounds (by TheCreature)

Version 3b :
Rebalanced some of the combos (the hit points and effects) example PPPP now knocks the enemy down like konoko's ppp
and added a PK, a PKP and a PKK, combos :D

Version 3 change log : 
Model : 
-TRBS changes to enhance the facial features
-added 3 new outfits : TCTF lite, TCTF lite black ops, Lion jacket outfit
-texture and trbs improvements for the 2 original outfits : Cop outfit and original Blue outfit
-fixed a size difference in the 2 original outfits

Animations : 
- Changed the idle pose which made the transitions from other moves smoother
- Changed the k_k_fwk move and the bk_fw_kick move
- Changed the p_p_p_p move, the forward kick move, and the low kick move
- A new unique heavy kick move by Mukade.
- added vulnerability windows to the super moves and made other moves less spammable
- added rifle and pistol disarm moves

Version 2 change log :
*Added an extra new outfit 
*Added Running forward Kick Throw, and static forward kick throw 
*Improved his dodging and escape moves (made them semi vulnerable like Konoko's instead of fully vulnerable)
*Gave him a new modified low kick ( dynamic crouch kick C+K) which has a staggering effect similar to that of the fury's 
*Changed the running kick 
*improved the 4 punches speed and reach
*other improvements to the combos

  his equivalent of willow kick  bk + fw + k

  his running punch 
  his forward kick (never used before)
  his modified throws
  his running back kick

*New Daoden glow : Blue 
*All moves break glass 
*Has his own character variant

I think it will be best to start from scratch.  None of the previous Casey has ever been released.

mmm ok so far i have the head tongue ... i'm getting better in xsi  big_smile

@ mukade the thing that needs the most work for me is the TRBS especially the neck head thing it always looks weird tongue once i finish that it's smooth sailing from there . so thanks smile

make new ones ? :S that requires animation knowledge not to mention martial arts or something knowledge tongue both of which i don't have ... so I'll use the moves that already exist but make completely new combos like i did with shin-bot example punch punch the third punch is a ten shadow punch .

heh, anim editing is still dream for us. Actually we *can* create an animation in XSI then save it to DAE, then convert it to XML and then we should complete it 'coz it doesn't have anything except the movements of body parts (anyway, you can't trust the generated XML, I don't know what is that written in there). see OniSplit wiki page lower part for further info.

i made up that he is Griffin's son tongue

once i joined this forum i read abt him in 1 topic I can't remember which ... the guy that appears on the "you lose"  in level 2  ... they named him casey ... I don't know much about him if he's konoko's rival, teammate, double spy, someone who was cut off from the final game version big_smile but i thought he can be griffin's son tongue

and now i'm making him a character  ^_^ even though i'm not the first one as u can see .

he's coming along great btw big_smile i finished the trbs using 4 characters (the body model)  now the textures ^_^

also, i beleive he is the guy in the "you win" picture after Airport II, with the SIGNAL LOST on the monitor and Griffen all pissed off tongue

Yeah, all the appearances of a red-haired guy were the same dude, who we call Casey.  Hardy said he may have been a boyfriend for Konoko in an earlier story rev.  But who knows, all we can say is that he was a TCTF agent.

WOOHOO! Looks great, one or two things - make his eyes a bit smaller and the chin a big pointier big_smile his chin is sorta flatish. But otherwise it looks awesome. You truly are getting good at this

On a different note Samoko, when you make a head/neck, does it give you a template to start with or do you do it from scratch?

com guy shirt muro's pants tongue that's the closes i could find to what he looks like in the lose level screen .. i'm changing colors and adding other details so he won't look like a com guy when i'm done with him trust me tongue .... the chest of the civilians is too small and the chest of tctff officers is too big to work with, hence the com guy ...

@ mukade i can't change the chin without messing the whole face up tongue it's like a set of point  connected to each other ... when i scale something others will get affected ...

i don't start form scratch exactly  if u see xsi u'll understand it better but ... i import the bodies of different characters and mix and match parts ... the head came from Karen after i edited it ... the chest form com guy the shoulders from mad bomber and the legs and pelvis from muro ... the i have to scale them and move them in a way that they look connected and stuff big_smile

if not precisely put they look horrible .. tongue that pic u see is my 19th attempt  ^_^

it looks weird right now tongue bec it has muro's pants structure and comguy's textures ...

i finished the torso so far :$ now i'll work on the arms and gloves ^_^ what colors go with blue tongue ?

Definitely a good job so far, Samoko.  I think I like the eyes the way they are.  I would just suggest that you learn how to move points in XSI, as this will open up whole new worlds to you ^_^  Smoothing a chin a little would be the least of it.

I did learn to move points tongue I had to for the nose cz it kept looking weird with these textures ... that's how i made the chin like that.  it was based on Karen's face and she had a pointed chin ^_^ so i thought a broader chin would make the face manly ... i compared it with com guy and muro's chin it's way pointer than theirs tongue

on the left pane : Modify module : move point tool smile but for the broader chin i enlarged the edge. 

I do need to learn how to add points . muro's chin and nose have 2 extra points which make him have that less flatish look.
